Not to create soldiers specifically, but a variety of specialists in different roles. More doctors, engineers, diplomats, and elite soldiers for special missions. We probably have a skills gap due to the loss of life from the destruction of the Holy City, and this could help fix that. That's a good point that it would also help pad out our population.

We could use it to create the Übermensch and do whatever you do with one of those.

we could teach them various roles and then they can pick what they wish do do. Also while we have WiFi, we should probably learn about Strain 112, whether it’s a newer plague or an older one, if it’s been found and fought on other planets, whether it’s made structures on other planets,...If it’s on other planets in this star system, if we beat the ones on this planet, it, or another strain could come back here

I think we already asked the therapist about that, who is an extension of the AI, and she said that she didn't have any information on this specific strain of plague, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

[-] ...Strain 111 of the Plague emerged millennia ago in the Solarius sector of the Empyre. It was responsible for the deaths of trillions and ravaged many planets in that region. It was especially noted for its intelligence and its ability to counteract Ascended Individuals. Several individuals of note fell to the infection...among them Regis III of Sol. The name feels familiar... However, it was considered destroyed after ....

Among its unique properties was its ability to interrupt Forumalue of Ascended through the use of data dampening, memetic infections, and cruel intelligence. It also formed Plague Lords and Fenrir Class Bodies at a higher rate than normal. A number of Ascended were turned, and a few were noted to retain identity and intelligence, however, madness and cannibalism were noted to be symptoms...they were noted to be stronger, faster, and generally more cruel...

Well, we already have cannibalism accomplished, and we're edging closer to madness, so I'd say we're almost there already.

Is there any information on the best way to fight Strain 111?

Thanks for the vote of confidence there.

Orbital bombardment, followed by a standard mop-up operation. Disabling of Plague Lords and Fenrirs, however, is another story. A full naval fleet is recommended for Fenrir class, and a large squad of Ascended is recommended for Plague Lords.

Nah, I know you're gonna beat this illness like everything else. Honestly, though, being infected doesn't sound like the worst thing that could happen. In any case, orbital bombardment should be something that we can eventually actually accomplish, whether with an orbiting relativistic weapon or a void ship.

Search for any information on a noble of the Empyre named Magnus.

No interest in the Plague Lords or Fenrirs?

[-]Magnus is a family name, and has three separate instances. Magnus the first is an Ancient Elder Noble, one of the Founders of the Empyre. Magnus the second is a Noble Gentleman, and Magnus the Third is a Noble Youth-- apparently he's only recently turned two thousand and twelve. The Magnus line is noted for their empathy regarding those outside of the Empyrean Core. Of all the nobles, they contributed the most ships and the most resources to the Plague War. Magnus the third actually lost a brother to the battles. They have a history of charity and anti-slavery works. They are also the ones who protested and challenged the destruction of Arcadia the most. They, like all nobles, possess immense power over the natural world, having control over a wide variety of elements and energies. You watch a video of Magnus the Third--

A towering beast stands over an army of the Infected, like a god of old. It's hard to describe -- a cloud of black in the vague shape of a man, clad in armor that reminds one of a demon. [Twenty meters tall]. Eight arms hold fire, ice, and lightning, and you watch as he rips through the opposing Plague like a hot knife through butter. Nothing remains, the camera cuts, and a young, black-haired, pale-skinned man returns from over the horizon. He flashes a cheerful grin at the camera, giving a wave.

Interesting... just the man we need to defeat the Plague, and he seems like a decent sort. Maybe we can come to some kind of agreement.

A Fenrir is a massive plague construction. So large, that it can eclipse the sun for a helpless planet. It is a beast that devours all life it can find within a system, adding to its mass. Ships. Soldiers. Marines. Anything and everything is absorbed and integrated. The largest Fenrir recorded was approximately [~6 × 10^25 kg] in mass, the size of a planet. It destroyed noble fleets and ripped worlds apart. It took many, many fleets working together to destroy this monstrosity. Thousands of ships were ruined. Millions of Empyreal Navy-men and Privateers died. Even the Nobility leading the attack were so grievously wounded that they did not survive the return home. The star that the battle took place in had to be detonated with Noble Technology, so great was the Fenrir.

Fortunately, most Fenrirs do not possess much in the way of intelligence or long term planning. However, this one was special. Based upon historical and prescience data, it was determined that this Fenrir grew around an Ascended Plague Lord. Plague Lords spontaneously arise when the Plague evolves. It eventually takes on a human-esque form, gaining willpower and further intelligence. Usually, these can be defeated with overwhelming firepower, just as any Ascended can be defeated.

However, should an Ascended, live or dead, fall prey to the Plague, and be taken back to the Place Of Origin, the Plague will undergo a rapid mutation. A Plague Lord, usually something taking many, many thousands of years to form, will nearly spontaneously appear. The Data stored within an Ascended will be used to modify the Plague. Willpower is based on the amount of certain nano-cells within the body -- however, the Plague will create these cells at a rapid rate. It will no longer bound by the restrictions placed upon the Plague by the Endless Emperor/Empress. It will be an unfettered demon, capable of devouring worlds -- reshaping them with Willpower. It is recommended by all involved that during battle with the Plague, that all Ascended corpses should be treated as relics or destroyed.

If the Emperor/Empress is truly gone, then the restrictions that keep the plagues bound may no longer be enforced. It's clear that we cannot afford to be infected by the plague for fear of creating a plague lord. I'm pretty sure MacCreary's body was destroyed by the blast... pretty sure. Could this be why the plague is retreating and not aggressively confronting our forces? Is it building a Fenrir?

Who was Regis III of Sol?

We need to target the plague’s buildings and vehicles, we need to attack the plague’s territory before it constructs a Fenrir or a plague lord is born.  We have a damaged colonist ship we can repair, maybe we can get people on the ship and Ceohie’s ship and bombard the plague while planet bound. Whatever we do, we also need to ensure we can be killed before we become a plague lord, but before we die, we must kill the plague on the planet. Maybe Magnus will let the people come with? No, we are all carriers of the Plague. I don’t like it, but maybe destroying the planet will be the only sure way to destroy the plague here. We know that everyone on the planet has the plague in small amounts, including us. If our people leave and go to another planet, the plague will follow with them. While we can help while alive, we need to ensure we are stopped from becoming a plague lord. Maybe the structures the plague has are in preparation for construction of a Fenrir. Whether or not that is the case, the plague territory shall be our target. Sorry, my thoughts are all over the place.

Destroying the planet should be an option of absolute last resort. Perhaps there is some way to treat our citizens to remove traces of the plague so that that will not be necessary. I agree that we should fast track getting that ark ship operational so that we can look into orbital bombardment.

Phoenix, what is your interpretation of this information?
