Training our silicon manipulation sounds like the most useful thing right now

You could also reach inward and train combat senses; faster reflexes and stronger muscles.  Wouldn't match a true master but we could dance around and through the blade claws of the infected, you know with time and effort.

Maybe seek out that mad scientist we gave demonic nano technology to?

Silas probably isn't here yet, as he is in the process of moving alongside the other Thorntons.

(((Meta question: VoidSlayer, who are you? Are you an advisor like us with no previous knowledge of the game? Are you an associate of Egar, already familiar with the game? I ask because you have the same user name as, well, the Void Slayer.)))

VoidSlayer's not the only one.

- ZBridges' guy "bridged" hostile factions.
- I ruled a world of hardy mining folk-- "dorfs" in all but name.
- King Zultan got a renegade god-king.
- Naturegirl got "the Woman of Nature".
- VoidSlayer got... the Void Slayer.

Seems Egar tried to fit us with personae to match our usernames (and in-game personalities), when possible. Fun little touch, no?  :D

On that note... I needed some pixel time.

Don't forget me. The unimportant branch person guy that fought the plague and then died and got my soul trapped in a jar.

I would be fine with silicon manipulation training.

Got it. I was aware of the backstory thing, I was just wondering what was up with VoidSlayer and the Void Slayer.

Damn. That's some awesome art right there.  :o

You take the lift down to the lowest level, stretching as you wait patiently for the elevator to come to a stop. You step out into the empty room, switching on the lights as you survey the dull brown and gray interior.

[3][13][1][18] You lift your hand, focusing on the pockets of silica twisted into the floor. It takes you a few minutes of concentration to find the right reference points, to concentrate on it. You draw it out of the ground, forming it into dust, which spews from the floor. You cannot control it, and the flow slowly comes to a stop. Too many little things to focus on...

You condense it into a ball, watching the silvery metal coagulate into a sphere. Picking up the heavy mass and wiping away at your bloody nose, you concentrate.

[20] An idea strikes you.

[13][15] You twist your willpower around your empty shoulder. The mass of silicon follows-- flowing into the crude shape of an arm. You trap hydrogen molecules where muscle would be, I'm the joints and in the long, inhuman fingers.

[14] It takes concentration of your will, but you flex the brittle metal. The crafted joints creak-- on a whim, you twist it into a fist, smashing it into the wall. Your new fist shatters, breaking apart.

[18] You sigh, letting the silicon fall away to the concrete below.

Sound like we need to try to make the silicon of our hand denser and maybe it won't break.

Hoo, clever! Very clever... a pneumatic arm, just like that.
The thing was easier with just the hydrogen, no? We could make an arm not so different from the original, that way-- a burning facsimile. T'would be a useful trick for our speeches!

That it would. I think we should try figuring out if we can make different things. We could try fitting lots of silicon into a small area and seeing if we can throw it to cause small shards to impale targets, this will need to be done somewhere where we don’t risk hurting anyone or damaging structures. Just thoughts on potential weapons. I can come up with more ideas later.

I'm not too concerned on that front. We are, after all, possessed of a star's clean fire.

True, it is also good to have variety in attacks.
