Your's might be outdated by many millennium more, Ancestor. How long ago were the Wars of Reclamation, Lucille?

[The Last War of Reclamation ended roughly ten thousand years ago, and it was followed by the period known as 'Pax Emypreal' or 'The Unification of Time', which came to an end with the advent of the Galactic Plague, four thousand years ago.]

In truth, ours is an ancient Line... I wonder if my own world survived the millennia?

Hullo! I have left the pasts open for your own interpretation. You have the gist of what made your reign and world unique, of course, but what details you fill in are left up to you! If you have questions about the tech levels, or want me to create it for you, I can do that too! It will be vague -- there are 100 billion planets in a milky way, and if even a third of those were civilized...you can get the picture. Lots of variation. Lots of differing tech levels, cultures, peoples. Genetic variance. And there are ancient worlds as well, from before the Empyre, with even more weirdness. There are a few things as well, that are spoilery, but I will reveal if you feel they can enrich the story.

I honestly use a random world generator for most things, then fill in the world as you explore it. I usually try to be as realistic as possible, but rule of cool also wins out. <.<

The only hard and fast rule? No sentient aliens. Alien-like humans, based on principles of hard sci-fi or principles of genetic modification based on cultural norms over thousands of years are acceptable. All alien lifeforms that are not sentient are at the levels of plants, simplistic animals, and insects. No races of mysterious and powerful aliens.

Just humanity -- forever alone in the galaxy.

If you have questions, feel free to pm them! I will answer to the best of my ability.

Just send it to me first before posting, if possible.

<.<

There was this old game I used to read on these forums called YAK, and the first one had it that everyone made up a region and the gm included it in the game. I think that type of stuff was super cool. <.<

Cool, I'll give it a shot as well.

Only other thing: SEEDships wwere the primary colonization vector of the galaxy, followed by roving spaceborne raiding groups. Sorry for the stipulations. Earth did not send out any colonies. <.<

["This is Five. Zero is currently in his rest cycle -- the Ministry of Trade and Finance will have such a report ready by the time the Ministries Convene by next week."] The dull, monotone voice recalls.

So wait, hold up... Earth, then, was itself a colony? Am I understanding this aright?

Apologies. All that was left of Earth and its Colonies, and, by extension, of humanity were the SEEDships or self-sufficient fleets that drifted from system to system.

Ahh, that makes more sense... thanks.

I was worried for a moment that I'd made Constantine the weirdly obsessive scholar of some random Rim world! That was gonna take some explaining. :-X

You've been feeling permanently peckish with the 'nanofeast'. Never fully satiated, but never truly hungry. With a shrug, you pull one of the ration cubes from the container and bite into it, chewing down the dusty material without much satisfaction. You drown it down with plenty of clean water from the bathroom tap, content for the moment.

Is there something we can do? Can we fight abominations near the perimeter? How long until we go to the Steelworks? I want to do something other than wait

Squirrely, hm? Our kind is curious indeed: untold centuries are granted us, yet always we must be in motion.

We could exercise. We could practice with silicon awhile, or see about summoning that burning arm of ours. We could take the time to redesign our panoply, shift its colors to something more suited to our new individuality. There are many ways to be in motion.
