"Who sent you?  Was it the navy, the usurpers?"

+1

...no hold up. I don't want to let on yet how much we know.

"What are you?"

I'm guessing she's not a regular human, what with the spike "protruding from her arm" and her speaking Empyreal and all. That's a strike against my first plan, namely go full Inferno or whatnot (still unsure of what the specific powers do, as I was not present at their discovery.)

So do this,

"What are you?"

+1, while also using our Healing Factor Conquerer's Aura to make her more likely to spill information.

Unless Healing Factor's passive. ...It's passive, isn't it? I have a lot to learn.

Healing factor is active, healing our injuries, if I’m correct. Someone else correct me if I’m wrong

Passive as in it runs all the time, without being under our conscious control; trying to turn it on would be redundant.

You have two, one is a passive, and one is an active. One slowly heals your injuries over time, while the active form rapidly heals you. Eschar, may I send you a pm?

"[I am an agent of the Empyre. A Noble sent me to observe you and take actions that I deemed necessary to neutralize you as a threat.]" Iyal explains, gently.

[18 vs 11+5] "[I mean the tentacle wrapped around my heart, you self import-]" The tentacle mentioned tightens, sending a shooting pain down your right side. Her discipline cracks for just a moment, and there is a will buried there. William and Emma are on the other side of the door. You can feel reactors humming to life.

[20 vs 14] "[I am of the Lavoisier line. I have learned to manipulate the carbon and other elements in my body. Empyreals sometime call my Phenotype face-changers.]" You've succeeded-- she's monologuing."[Your Kindred are here to inform you that I've turned on the Distress Beacon. The Noble fleet I am attached to is twelve years off, but they will come.]"

Keep her talking. Pheonix responds quietly to you, as you tighten your Willpower to William's questioning probes, using it to heal yourself quietly. It doesn't change the tentacle wrapped around your heart, but your stomach and thoracic cavity stop leaking blood.

[17 vs 12] The fusion generators move to orientate behind you, facing inward.

((You may.))

Keep Conquering, keep healing. Subtly move so that we will not be in line of fire from the lasguns. Ask her more, guide her into revealing why we're considered a threat.

Weren't we planning to activate the beacon too? I guess the problem is that it's Iyal's house's fleet that's responding.

“I am working to destroy the [plague]. I thought the [plague] is an enemy to both SEEDships and the Empyre.”

We've healed all we can, at this point... trouble now is that tentacle.

"Iyal-- the real Iyal. The girl I met in that alleyway, in Steelworks Number 09. She is dead?"

"I am no longer the person I was, Iyal. I want only to help my people here grow and recover."

The beacon was going to be reserved as a last resort... oh well.

+1 to a combined version of these if others accept that, along with manuvering ourself out of the lines of fire (and "Iyal" into them if we can manage it.)

This creature is not Iyal-- of that, I am certain. It is unworthy of that name.

Perhaps, but it's also possible that she was deceiving us from the very start. She hasn't actually neutralized us and is rattling off her plan, so that's a good sign.
