I’m afraid my computer has finally done it, guys.

It has kicked the bucket, gone belly-up, croaked it, committed seppuku, popped its clogs, turned up its toes, bitten the dust, fallen on its sword, breathed its last, bought the farm, gone curtains, given up the ghost and gone to a better place, hopped the twig, taken Charon’s ferry, joined the choir invisible and started pushing up daisies and counting worms.

Please accept this list of idioms as a replacement. Goodness knows when I’ll get another one, but what with what’s going on it won’t be soon. Sorry, everyone.

I thoroughly accept your idioms haha, what a joy to read! Though, good luck finding a cheap computer, I've noticed prices have risen with so many people stuck at home with nothing to do.

So far I managed to play over Granite before getting started with schoolwork. So far, I've only caused one stupid death on accident, and he was a recruit so not particularly important.

Recruits truly are expendable, no matter how useful they were as civies. In fact, that expendability is what makes them so useful. What's our military looking like?

Oh and do post an image or two if you catch a good scene. Looking forward to future updates (and no worries on time if you're attending school, I've been there and it can be rough to come home and find the focus for writeups).

Condoleances on the death of your computer, Laterigrade.

I'd like to sign up for a turn, but not immediately; I still have a week of SmithSoldier to play.

Awwww shit here we go! I think you'll enjoy Smallhands, the mapsize is a fun challenge, as are the pestering necromancers and raging beasts.

This seems fun, I'd like a turn, if possible.

After 3 days, the new cat explodes.

Awesome! Glad to see some new players. I'll be updating the main page soon. Busy days lately.

How's it going, auze?

I had an update ready... and I just accidentally cleared it. There goes Granite...
I'll put up what images I have later, and then get to work on the next update.

Ouch. Feels bad; I know I’ve done that once or twice. Just put up what you have; we’ll be right.

Wow I'm very sorry that happened to you! I've had that happen, so I always draft in a txt file now. It's difficult to recreate the writeup from memory, and if it was a good one you always feel like you're missing something after you redo it.

Journal of Auze

In the year 158, I existed. As such, I ended up becoming the overseer of this fortress. I was fairly surprised when Samulek stepped down, and his allowing me to become the fortress overseer was even more surprising, considering how many dwarves whined about how the last time someone named "Auze" was designated as overseer: "more dwarves died than in every other turn combined" and "killed 90% of the fortress" and "he didn't even show up", or some other crap.

So anyway here's two images from Granite of things that are connected. I'll leave y'all to guess how:

It's also connected to my trying to find stuff to trade to the elves.

I have faith in you. Auze II will be much better than Auze the 1st.
And 42 of the dwarves who whined today were not there when Ñ happened.
Only Salmeuk and Nogood know. And look what's left of them now.
Only them know the pain, the fear, the 2 years long fight against The Echidna
They didn't whined today, mostly because they don't care.
Nah, I think you should be fine.

** Sees picture **

Ahah ! Nice start ! ;D
Did you try to trap it to feed it the elves ?

So, 'Pelese Lafocorowa' was so beautiful that it took his breath away and he fainted? Strange, but acceptable - everyone is allowed to have their own unique tastes in beauty.

Keep it up!

Not sure how we want to do turn order - so I just continued the regular list and added applet and Spriggans to the end - Laterigrade, no idea how your computer situation will be when it comes around to your turn.

Good luck auze! We've got a lot of caged creatures - perhaps we should start doing something with them.

I'm pretty busy with a new job so I probably won't have time to take another turn just yet.
