The first tests have come in, and show that it is just malaria. Nothing new and scary. Just your regular old number one cause of death in the tropical poor world.

Fortunately, there's a vaccine for it now. It is still quite new and rolling out, hence why it has done little against this outbreak, but within the next ten years malaria levels will plummet.

I didn't know one could be vaccinated against parasites, that's interesting. Hopefully it works out; malaria has caused more than enough misery in human history.

I remember something about malaria being able to change its genome slightly, making it more difficult,lt for the white blood cells to find them, though it’s been a few years since I read the article on it
