OOC Thread

Pestilence and death have spread through your region, ever since the Dark Lords had set their sight on the Kingdom of Samith. Though your village have never had much protection from the Crown, as usual, the little people become the first casualties of war.

Founded centuries ago, or so the elders claim, the community of Kiodan's Valley have formed around the stronghold that once held a gateway to the realms of the Fae. Now it lays crumbling and is simply a farming community. It wasn't a border village, but as the forces of darkness pushed forth, the war will soon come to them, and the refugees have flocked to settle among the ruins.

The elders have called for a meeting. It is time to repair the stronghold, and prepare for war. Whether you are a community fixture, a mercenary, or an adventurer, you are among the militia drafted to defend and manage the village in this time of war.

Description: Wecron are yellow sluglike creatures that get energy by taking in various sulphur compounds for energy (chemosynthesis) through their skin. They are about 1 ft tall and 4 ft long from head to tail. (Sizes not including tentacles)They weigh about 2 pounds on Earth. (5.92 ounces on Kuyo)They can sense touch, infrared wavelengths to radio wavelenghs and smell. They have tentacles that allow for this. Their skin, along with their first pair of tentacles towards the front of their head facing forward are for touch. Their second pair of tentacles, perpendicular to the first set facing upward, is for smell. The third pair of tentacles, facing left and right coming out the sides of the head are for wavelength detection. Each tentacle is 6 inches long and can be retracted when not in use.They communicate with each other by using pheromones. They reproduce by budding. Their front pair of tentacles is how they manipulate objects.

As more refugees flocked to the Valley, comes the problem of getting enough supply to feed every mouth. Some people are setting up camps hoping to make the nearby forest safer to forage in, some people just prayed to their gods for a better harvest, and some are doubling their efforts at hunting. How do you help out with this?

Blarg does what one would expect a wizard to do in this situation, and that is to toy with the fabrics of the universe for the goal of making more potatoes.

Beni has arrived with some merchants at the Valley, hearing about the place's sudden increase in demand for work and supplies. They hear that a few camps are being made to house all the refugees and adventurers. Maybe they could get some money and food if they helped out.

Fuvo crawls out from the tent and waves away concerned people. They seem unscathed. They opt to head for the forest to forage instead.

Fuvo finds some berries and what they presume to be useful herbs, but it'd take some analysis.

Foraging is a rather time-consuming task, however. They might not have time to do any more of it before sundown. Unless, of course, they wish to forage in the dark.

Blarg

Blarg curses the ancient feys for tainting the lands with their forbidden techniques to draw the breaths of the Earth. He discards the charred rabbits which even the dogs wouldn't eat and search the camp for anything that could go into a cauldron.

It was surprisingly difficult to find any food that people aren't already busy eating, but he finally stumbles onto some after asking around. He also manages to stumble into a Chubby Dragonkin Chef who had come from the Inner Valley to help out. After hearing about Blarg's cooking, she decides to just take charge and have him help out as her assistant.
