It's incredible how the game makes sense of nonsense input but reacts in a weird way if you try to do a serious action.
Anyway, this one ended fast.
Thieves have stolen my paperwork but I was able to retrieve it after raiding the thieve's hideout with a dragon and a receptionist.
You are a scientist in the kingdom of Larion. You are searching the evil dragon who has been terrorizing the kingdom in order to study dragons. You enter the forest searching for the dragon and see it, but you don't know what to expect.
The dragon is huge! It looks like an enormous black dog with scales covering its body. The beast stands there looking at you as if waiting for something from you.
> ask the dragon for a declaration of agreement to run some medical tests on him
"Hello!" the dragon says. "I am Draconus, ruler of this land."
"Dragons have always fascinated me," you say. "What do they eat?"
"They eat anything that moves," Draconus replies.
> don't move
"Very well," you reply. "But I'm not moving."
Draconus sighs and turns away from you. He continues walking down the path.
> follow him
You continue following Draconus. As he walks through the forest, you notice several small creatures scurry about in the undergrowth. They look very cute and cuddly, but they're actually vicious little monsters.
> catch one of the creatures for documentation and continue following Draconus
You grab a creature by the scruff of its neck and hold it up high so everyone can see. The creature lets out a squeal of surprise when you grab it, but quickly calms down again once you release your grip.
"These are the Gnome's pets,"
> ask Draconus if he knows the Gnomes
"Yes, I do," Draconus says. "Do you know where they live?"
"No, I was told to stay here until my paperwork is finished."
"Oh no, I'll have to send someone else after them!" Draconus exclaims.
> "If you do my paperwork I will go to the Gnomes."
"If you do my paperwork I will go to the Gnomes."
Draconus smiles and nods his head. "Good, good," he says. "Go on then."
> visit the Gnomes
You walk into the Gnome village and find that most of the people are gathered around a large table eating dinner. One person sits at the head of the table and another sits next to him. A third person sits at the end of the table near a group of children playing with balls.
> draw your notebook to document their social interactions
You stand beside the table and draw your notebook close to yourself. You wait patiently while the other three people begin talking amongst themselves. Eventually, one of them speaks up.
"So, how did you get here?" she asks.
"I came here on business," you explain.
> "Draconus sends me."
"He does indeed," the woman replies. "How did you come to be here?"
"My papers were delayed, so I had to stay here until they arrived."
The woman looks at her watch and frowns.
> make a joke
"Sorry, I didn't mean anything by it," you say.
The woman laughs and shakes her head. "It's alright, I guess." She takes a bite of food before continuing. "What business do you have here?
> "I want to study your society and Gnome anatomy."
"Gnome anatomy?" the woman asks.
> "Are you fine with an autopsy?"
"An autopsy?" the woman asks.
"Well, yes and no," you reply. "I'm not exactly fond of dead bodies either, but I need to learn about them in order to help Draconus."
The woman looks at you for a moment before nodding slowly.
> do an autopsy
You take out your pocket knife and open up the back of your shirt. The woman watches as you carefully cut through the skin and muscle tissue, revealing the internal organs underneath. You look over at her and smile.
"That's... pretty cool," she says quietly.
> draw a sketch of the organs
You quickly grab your drawing pad and start sketching. It takes some time, but eventually you finish.
> finish the autopsy
You put down your pen and turn to face the woman. Her eyes widen when she sees what you've drawn.
"Oh my god!" she exclaims. "This is amazing! This is really incredible! How did you even..."
> "I'm a real scientist after all."
"No, I'm not," you insist. "I just drew this because I was curious."
She stares at you in disbelief for a moment before looking away from you. You can see that she's starting to sweat a bit under her hoodie.
"Alright then,"
> "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," you reassure her. "Just wanted to practice my anatomy skills."
"Okay then," she nods. She turns back towards the door and begins walking off. You sigh and turn your attention back to your work.
> take the rest of the day off
After finishing up your work, you decide to take the rest of the day off. After spending so much time working on something, you don't feel like doing any more. You spend most of your free time relaxing or reading books.
> read one of the books from your backpack
As you're resting your head against the wall, you pick up a book off of your bag. You flip through it as you read, trying to focus on anything other than the pain in your shoulder.
> rest
You lay down on your bed and close your eyes. Your body feels completely drained of energy by now. You fall asleep almost immediately, only waking up once again to the throbbing pain in your arm.
> think "Maybe I should let a doctor check my arm."
You sit up and begin pacing around your room. You decide that you need to get yourself checked out, so you head downstairs.
When you arrive at the local hospital, you find it quite busy today.
> go to the reception desk
You walk over to the receptionist and ask if there are any doctors around. The receptionist looks at you in confusion, which causes you to laugh nervously.
"Um...no? Well then, uh...what do I do?"
> make an appointment for a medical treatment
"I'll be right with you sir," she says.
The receptionist leads you to a small office where another man sits behind a desk. He looks at you suspiciously, but he doesn't say anything else.
> tell the doctor about the pain in your shoulder and arm
"My shoulder hurts when I bend my arm, and my arm is really sore too. Is there anyway to fix this?"
He looks at you and shakes his head.
"Well, maybe it's nothing serious..." he says.
> "Don't you have a healing potion that can fix my arm?"
"No, sorry. There isn't one here."
You sigh heavily and start to leave. The receptionist calls after you, however.
"Oh no! You can't just leave without seeing me!" she exclaims.
> say sorry
"Sorry, I just wanted to see what could be done about my arm before leaving."
She smiles and nods her head. She opens up a drawer and pulls out some sort of bottle. She hands it to you and tells you to drink it.
> drink it
You take the bottle from her hand and open it. You put the cap back on and drink it down. It tastes horrible, but you feel better already.
> "Thank you! You saved me."
"Yeah, yeah, thanks."
She gives you a smile and leaves. You stand up and turn to look at your arm. It feels much better now.
> go back to Draconus to see if he is finished with your paperwork
You follow the receptionist outside. As soon as you enter the door, Draconus walks up to you.
"Ah, good to see you're awake."
Draconus takes a seat across from you and begins talking.
> listen to Draconus
"So, you're still alive aren't you?"
You nod.
"Good, so how did you get into this mess?"
Draconus starts to talk about the incident that happened last night.
> ask what happened to your paperwork last night
"Last night, I was attacked by an unknown assailant. My papers were stolen off of me and taken to the basement. I don't know who stole them or why."
"What?! That can't be true! How do you even know that? Who would steal your paperwork?
> "Where can I find the thieves?"
"I'm not sure...but I'll tell you later. Right now, we need to figure out where they are."
"Okay, but what should we do about our paperwork?"
"We need to contact the police immediately. We also need to file a report for missing property."
> "No need to tell the police. We will just beat up these thieves and retrieve my paperwork!"
"That's right, but we have to wait until tomorrow morning. If we don't get a response from the police, then we can proceed with our plan."
You nod in agreement and continue listening to Draconus' words.
> prepare for the fight with the thieves by constructing sci-fi weaponry
"Well, I guess we should start building weapons right away. There has to be something that can hurt those thieves."
"Hmm, yes. Let's build a laser gun or something."
"A plasma rifle too!"
The receptionist laughs at your suggestion.
> build a laser gun and a plasma rifle
"Alright, let's build two different types of weapons. One will be a laser gun and one will be a plasma rifle."
"Oh, okay. Well, what kind of weapon should we make?
> finish building the weapons
"I've completed the construction of both weapons. They are ready to fire."
"Great, well let's test them out."
> go to the thieve's hideout
"Let's go to the thieves' hideout."
You walk towards the entrance of the building. The receptionist nods her head in approval and follows behind you.
> give Draconus the plasma rifle and tell him to rush into the hideout
"Give it to Draconus. He needs it more than anyone else."
Draconus takes the weapon and looks at you as he holds it in his hands. He gives a smile and smiles back at you before walking inside the building.
> follow him and finish up any thieve you see with the laser gun
"Follow me."
You follow Draconus and you soon reach the first floor. The receptionist is still following behind you. She stops when she sees the second floor.
"There must be some sort of secret room on this level."
> use your X-ray goggles to find the secret room
"I think I know where there is a secret room. Follow me."
You follow Draconus down the stairs and you soon arrive at another door. You open it up and enter the room. Inside, you see a large computer screen which displays several screens showing various images.
> check the screens
You look through the screens and see a few images of people being chased by robots. Then, you see an image of a man who appears to be Draconus.
"Is that...?"
You turn around and stare at the screen in disbelief.
> "This must be the monitoring room."
"Yes, this must be the monitoring room. This monitor shows all of our activities. It's also connected to other monitors so we can see what each other is doing."
"What do you mean?
> "We can find the thieves by using the cameras!"
"That's right! We can use the cameras to track the thieves. If they're hiding somewhere, then we'll know where they are."
"How do you know for sure?"
"Because I have access to all of these computers and I'm not lying about anything.
> find the location of the thieves within the building and head towards their location
"Okay, I found the location of the thieves. Now, I need you to lead us to them."
"Got it.
> go to the thieves
You run out of the room and start running towards the exit. A few guards come from their rooms and begin chasing after you. They catch up to you and try to grab you, but you easily dodge them.
> shoot them with the laser gun
You quickly fire off the laser gun and blast one of the guards in the chest. He falls backwards onto his butt. Another guard comes out of his room and tries to shoot you, but you duck under his shot and fire a burst of bullets into him as well.
> close in the thieves
You quickly run to the back of the building and hide behind a wall. Suddenly, you hear shouting coming from outside.
"Where did he go?! Where did he go?!"
A voice shouts and you take cover behind a nearby dumpster.
> tell Draconus to draw the fire on him and give him cover
"Draconus, get the attention away from me. I want you to focus on whoever is attacking us now."
"Understood, sir."
"Now, let's go kill those bastards!"
You wait patiently until someone enters your view.
> attack the thieves
You quickly open fire on the thieves. The lasers destroy several of them, but it doesn't stop there. You continue firing at them, causing more damage to their bodies and equipment.
> vaporize the thieves
You quickly throw a grenade at the thieves who were still trying to escape. As soon as it explodes, you fire another laser beam at them, melting some of their flesh and burning others.
> finish up the thieves
You quickly jump down from the building and run over to the last two thieves. You rip off their heads, which fall to the ground below. You then turn around and walk away, leaving the place in ruins.
> thank Draconus and the receptionist for their help and retrieve your stolen paperwork
After a short rest, you head back to the reception desk where Draconus is waiting for you.
"Well done! We got rid of all these thieves and escaped alive!"
"Thanks to you, we won't have any problems when we leave this city.
> "Did you retrieve the paperwork from the thieves?"
"Yes, I think so."
"Good job! Now that we've dealt with the problem, let's go home!"
