How do you pay a debt in adventure mode?
« on: November 26, 2019, 09:47:32 pm »

I am trying out adventure mode, and finding it much harder to figure out how to play than fortress mode, both in trying it myself and in researching answers. I am trying to pay a human tavern keeper for a tab/debt. I have coins, 85 DB I think. I tried offering currency and then give, tried offering currency and then settle debt. Nothing really changes for settle debt, and give returns the response "I'm confused. Did you want something?" or something like that. I don't want to trade any items I have, I'm trying to trade 2 DB, but I'm not sure how. Is it possible?

Well, I figured it out... mostly. The coins were just not appearing in the trade window. You have to actually trade the coins themselves, just like anything else. The "offer currency" option does nothing? Anyway, somehow dropping and picking things up again I could see the coins in my trade window and was able to use them.

Yeah, currency is a bit bugged. Most adventure mode players just trade back items of the appropriate value.

I normally just trade items for debt,  i actually managed to get a companion to ask for currency when i tried to buy his helmet from him though that was pretty neat.

If you directly trade the coins they arent worth as much as they are when ask for/offer currency actually happens to work randomly from my experience.
