1. Production is automatic

2. Radiation uses up filters automatically. If you have no filters...well goodbye to your unit

3. A ranger can scavenge as often as he has moves.

4. Going to the surface costs no moves. So using your ranger to spend four moves scavenging the surface while staying in the same tile is possible. Mind that each move used uses up a filter.

5. Yes you can explore as many spaces as you have moves and as your unit survives.

6. no.

Unfortunately your actions does not work, you need either 5 resources which you can switch for ONE bullet or THREE bullets which you can switch for ONE resource.

Okay that was an interesting first round. Please do not get discouraged if you lost your entire army on their exploration stuff...this is completely normal for this game...at least i think it is ^^

Okay folks two thing i noticed:

1. You need 5 food to colonize a neutral station, you can only conquer them from other players.
2. You cannot retreat from radiated areas without using a filter. So if you stumble into radiation areas, anomalies, pestilence areas, bandits or mutants combat and other effects will always trigger on the unit exploring. So sending out units without filters, will cause them to die if they discover an irradiated station.

So if I need five food to colonize does that mean I can't try to integrate the people in Cherkizovskaya into my group without it using diplomacy?
And do I need to say I take the munitions from Cherkizovskaya or do I have to take it over the station to get them?

@notquitethere: yes.

No you can't King Zultan,the five food basically represent your diplomatic efforts ;). You can still roleplay the diplomacy though. the munitions in Cherkizovskaya will be produced every turn once you take over the station.

you can still join, i will add you with the next round if you put in a sheet. Naturegirl you still need to update your orders, you can't conquer a neutral station with force.

I definitely shot myself in the foot starting with gun production. I had originally thought to go with filters, but then everyone else picked them and I wanted to be different... but filters and food are the bottlenecks here. With filters you can get any other resource through scavenging, and you need food for expansion.
