You'd like to peek into Flax's head, as you're not much wiser from his expressions. Perhaps Nami could?
"I can't read his mind, sadly. But, despite the stern outlook, he understands the severity of this mess, that I can tell you... As for Sas, distrught he is, but not fearful."You can certainly confirm the latter, as you recognize the hunter's look, from when he spots something moving in the snow, and even when he hesitates a bit occassionally, he does have his bow ready.
"What will you do to us?" Sas asks. He seems trying to talk when you two don't, but the henchmen aren't very happy about that.
"Us? That's for the lord to decide, but if you are dissidents, well, it's dungeon or gallows, not of your choosing!" the soldier barks, growing ever more frustrated. "But what we'll do, is take you the hard way, if you won't comply, damn!"
Now even the hunter has nothing to retort. The eyes of you three flicker, as you watch yourselves and the crashers closely, who indeed seem very impatient.
Your companions don't seem to want to make the decision, or not alone at the very least, you'd rather have the incoming act first. It is too late to negotiate, and it would probably agitate them even further, although, staying silent on the spot angers them likewise.
Nevertheless, you want to see what they'll do, first, and so remain idle.
"That's enough, seize them!" the chief cries, and his comrades react.
But just as the last word is spoken, as if he waited for this very moment, Flax lunges forward, like a bolt of lightning, and cuts him open.
In a flash, he finishes the move with another, and the soldier crumbles down.
Without delay, Sas lets his arrow loose, piercing the neck of one of the henchmen, as he gasps for air his last time.
The soldiers seem staggered by the ferocity of your resistance. The one left still in the room holds his ground, but is quite apparently hesitant. The rest behind the doors is on a move.
"Alarm!" they start crying over each other, and one runs for the hills, as you can't see him anymore, but hear the stomping over the wooden steps.
Flax immediately sets off to pursue them, the nearmost warrior tries to stop him, but with a blow is repelled, and his weapon knocked out of his hand.
Then you can hear only a crash, cracking of wood, more shouting and shrieking, and clashing of steel. It was all very brief, still it captured your focus, which the foe took advantage of.
While you were processing what's going on down there, he armed himself again with a blade of his fallen comrade. Raising his shield, he advances towards you!
What do you want to do?
