Better to take him down for good, while he's confused, you think, and charge towards the pursuer.
He's wielding an axe, a weapon you'd very much appreciate. You try to freeze his legs still, until you're close enough to grab it, but you are getting exhausted, and can barely let out a word, only chilling him stiff. Better than nothing, but you attempt no magic further.
You toss aside your walking stick, and as soon as you get your hands on the ax handle, you pull.
You manage to break it free from his grip, but the movement takes him out of the fascination.
You waste no time, and execute a mighty swing.
You aimed at the knee, but struck considerably lower. Guess you'll have to work further on close combat... No matter now, you brought the man down.
He crumbled into the snow with a powerful cry, and no wonder, despite you did not cut off the limb, the helmet of the thug seemed like his only piece of armor.
The opponent is out, the weapon is secured, time to take to your heels.
But just as you were about to move, the man raised his hand again, and tugs it back.
And as if his hand was present on the axe, a force pulls it towards himself. But you realize this quickly, and won't let go.
You struggle for a while, but your grip is firm, and proves stronger than this trickery. His power fades, as you readjust your hold, and stand triumphantly over.
The man breathes slowly, and clearly expects the finishing blow.
"Well?". . .Without a word, you turn back and run. The thug starts calling for support, but you notice no further danger.
And after a while of running, you can finally say, you are safe now. And while there might still be intruders by the titan's corpse, you could see the thick smoke rising by the hills to the very end.
What do you want to do?
