It's settled in your eyes, you'll have to fight your way out. You'd like to pull out Sas' knife, but the monster won't give you a moment of respite. Unfortunately for it, the stress has at last unearthed your wrath.
As it performs its next lunge, you ram into it and swipe to the side, successfully. You didn't manage to drop it down, but its tumbling gave you the time window you needed.
You draw your arms.
Since you've already damaged the neck, you process it as the best target. But it's hard to get close to it, as the beast has better reach, and carries on to torment you with its never ending charges. On the other hand, you thought of using that to your advantage, as the thing really doesn't seem to have any sense of self-preservation, you attempt some quick jabs at it. Two miss, the third one connects, not in the neck but lower in the left shoulder, doing little damage.
You've managed to dodge your way through so far, but the constant moving overwhelms you. The beast leaps at you and it's too late, you try to halt it with your staff, but it's long lean neck gets past that, and it plunges its teeth into your upper body. It latches on, and continues to shred your flesh with rapid bites. Worse yet, you notice another figure coming from the fire your way.
But you react swiftly, and take advantage of your foe's position. You strike him in the neck and cut through. The knife stops at the bone, as the creature ceases to twitch, and becomes still.
Its looks same as they were just a moment back, but it moves no more. The monotonous growling is also gone.
The knife, curiously, remains stainless clean.
But again, more pressing concerns are up. The wound is bad, and you're bleeding profoundly. You don't see a problem patching it in time, but as fate would have it, the creature incoming is still in sight.
It's still quite far, so you can't see it clearly, but you have an inkling they are a human, wielding something. Likely no less hostile.
What do you want to do?
