For those familiar with the game, please review the rules of combat and technology. Also, due to a bug it was possible to both create a new duchy and use it to make a kingdom, this has been fixed- all improvements (including duchies) come into play on the next turn.
How this works is each 'turn' is a year and you can do several actions, which are 1 of 4 things: 1)attack someone, 2)raid someone, 3) improve one of your lands, 4) gain titles.
If you attack someone you declare which land you are attacking, how many troops are going and which outcomes you're willing to accept (by default any)
if it is a player that player must declare if they wish to: 1)give into your demands (i.e lose the land), 2)pledge to be a vassal of you(only if you are a higher rank then they are), or 3)fight. If it is a none player I will roll for them (independent lands are more likely to resist, than vassalize and almost never just roll over.)
If the defending party is fighting than it will be your attacking troops vs their defending troops + any bonuses to either side.
Defenders have a 10% bonus or 1 point bonus whichever gives more;
When combat occurs a 10 sided die is rolled for each side, then multiplied by that side's resulting number and divided by 10. This is how much damage is dealt to the opponent. The side that is dealt more damage loses and must retreat.
If you are raiding you can say how much of your number is going, min of 10%, max 50%. Raiding a neighboring territory allows you to steal some of that player's points (no more than you sent troops (and who are left after the battle) and no more than half of what they have) raids have a 50% chance of encountering enemy defenses, in which case a battle occurs- if you win it, you don't get the territory, but do get to steal their points (if you lose, you retreat and get zilch.)
Points are gotten passively each turn and by raiding: passive gain is: base income + income from lands + income from vassals
base income is: 1 per county, 2 per duchy, 3 per kingdom, 4 for an empire, all added together.
Income from lands starts at 0 and can be improved on an individual land basis by paying new-land-income points. this can be done multiple times (for one land!) in one action. (so improving from 0 to 3 costs 6 points, but from 3 to 4 costs 4 points)
Income from a land is decreased by 1 each time you lose a battle on it, be careful. This includes raids.
Any points left over after attacking, raiding and improving are used for defense.
You are allotted actions based on rank: counts 1, dukes 2, kings 3, emperors 4, defending does not count as a action;
Creating a Duchy (and, if it's your first one, becoming a duke) requires you to have (1+ duchies-you-will-have2) lands, and 20 points, it costs 10 points. (so your first duchy requires 2 lands, your second requires 5 and so on, but either one costs 10 points)
Creating a Kingdom (and, if it's your first one, becoming a king) requires you to have (1+ kindoms-you-will-hold2) duchies, and 50 points, it costs 25 points.
Creating an Empire (and becoming an Emperor) can only be done once and requires you to have 2 kingdoms, and 100 points, it costs 50 points.
Players may destroy their own titles, and lower their rank at will (no action required, effective at the start of turn resolution.)
Winning:
economic victory is based on income: 50 min income at least double second place and after turn 10;
diplomatic victory is based on total points of allied players: combined points of 500, at least double second place allies, and after turn 10;
conquest victory is based on land mass: 75% of land (30 territories) give conquest victory regardless of turn, points, or income;
Spending points on increasing you defense and offense bonus increases you bonus by 1% per tech unit or 0.1 per unit which ever is more;
the first 50 units cost 1 point each, the next 2 points, then 3 and so on. (so going from 90 units of offensive tech to 110 costs 50 points)
boats are required to attack/raid across the water:
1 boast costs 1 point and transports 10 points worth of force projection.
changing actions is fine, but you must edit your post that has your original action for that turn
Vassal owes a portion of their income to their suzerain (NPC vassals always pay 50%) that is set during vassalage and can be changed if both players agree.
It costs an action to vassalize and it costs an action to break away.
Vassal and suzerain are considered to be allied.
Vassals may not attack their suzerain, or provide defense for her enemies. (This means also on the turn they break off)
Finally vassal lands count towards land requirements for title acquisition.
All actions (of all players regardless of position on the list) happen at the same time and can not be ordered or coordinated within the turn.
