Ed splits off a smaller part of himself to watch over the station. His distended stomach disappears as the mass is lost to form this new body, but his initial body remains looking almost the same size (though any further splitting is bound to have a marked effect). With that out the way, he sets off towards Bungay. He keeps a sharp eye on his surroundings but he doesn't see anyone on his way over, though in the distance, several times, he could swear he heard vehicles on the move.

Bungay is surrounded by an unnatural vast obsidian wall, surrounded by a rerouted river that makes up the moat. There are a series of gates inside. Ed walks across the drawbridge and someone on high at the wall shouts down, "Brother, welcome to Bungay. Are you known to us?"

"Probably not! Been a mite since I've been in the towns. Come to think of it, though, you may know some  of the folk I've traveled with. I'm sure one of them joined up with you. Big lad like that would fit in right at home with you lot, even if he was a bit of a tippler."

Spoiler: Karen Kablukov (click to show/hide)

”Hey, Rovin, I’m another member of the Legends faction and going to do my rounds. But hello sir in the cabinet armour, do you have any interest of going to Watton?, I have to catch the latest scoop of news and commuting there with your vehicle could be helpful and handy, no worries if you can’t spare me.”

"Awright, well... thanks then," says Ben, somewhat unsure of how to address this strange creature.
"Watch out fer that gel on the bike, ah guess."
He watches the bear leave, then shrugs and turns his attention to the rest of the hall. Some grub sure would be nice...

Say my farewells to the Wiki-Bear, then take a look around the village hall for any food that might be about.
Surely they had snacks on hand for folks that gathered here? Keep an eye out for any other useful items too, I guess.

If I find anything that seems safe to eat, do so before bunking down to sleep. If not, just get some sleep.
Either way, wake up early and continue my trek to the site of the ambush. Oh, and I guess I should probably close the door I came through and pile some chairs against it, to make noise and wake me if anyone or anything tries to gain entry in the night.

Camel Pasture
After his rather abject failure - something he hasn’t really had to deal with previously - Darrin largely stays quiet, thinking about what just happened.
[Darrin rolled 6+6+1wits+1scientist=14]
Darrin stops and reflects on what he's feeling. He's spoken with those senior in the Labs who know more about the mutation process, though many of the details are still as yet occluded from him. This must be the Hunger that he has heard of. He didn't know if he would ever experience this madness but he wasn't expecting it to feel quite like this. An admixture of wanting something as yet ineffable and luxuriating in sensation. Fortunately he has no desire yet to feast on anyone's heart, but a tiny drip of terror falls inside his gut- will this grow now? Will there be a cure?

His thoughts are interrupted by a shout from Balthazar. While he's been lost in his mind, the others have clambered over the fallen pillar and got to safety. "You coming Amoretto?"

Thetford
After scaring off the humans, head towards [Thetford Forest] to finish this Cloud Seeder quest.
”After we are done with what we are doing, maybe we could help you carry whatever it is you are carrying”
Continue to [Thetford Forest]

The family continue to run off east into the wilderness beyond, glad that they aren't being pursued by the killer robots. The assassin and giant millipede bots continue on to Thetford Forest.

In the centre of the forest on a hill surrounded by ancient woodlands, there's a tall radio tower. The partially deflated blimp is here. It's all guarded by a handful of insectoid morphs.

Natrix, in form of a giant razor-tipped cranefly, greets them. "Well well," he whispers, "I didn't expect to see you two walking up together. And is that a cloud seeder?"

The cloud seeder is handed over and the pair are suitable rewarded.

Shortly after, the convivial atmosphere sours. "What is that bird doing trapped on your leg, Jager?" Natrix hisses,

Cloud Seeding is complete. Jager and Sandra both gain +3 tallies, +1 kudos, +1eyes rep.

Bungay
"Probably not! Been a mite since I've been in the towns. Come to think of it, though, you may know some  of the folk I've traveled with. I'm sure one of them joined up with you. Big lad like that would fit in right at home with you lot, even if he was a bit of a tippler."

[Ed rolled 3+3+2empathy+0london=8]
They open the gates for Ed but they don't seem to recognise the description of the mutant that Ed attempts to describe. Inside the walls, there is small bustling settlement. Almost everyone is clearly a mutant. Ed is given directions to the recruitment office if he wants to sign up.

Buried Saint
”Hey, Rovin, I’m another member of the Legends faction and going to do my rounds. But hello sir in the cabinet armour, do you have any interest of going to Watton?, I have to catch the latest scoop of news and commuting there with your vehicle could be helpful and handy, no worries if you can’t spare me.”
[Karen rolled 1+2+1empathy+1legends=5]
Rovin is impassive. "Sorry lady, I'm about done with running favours. What do you think, Burt? You weren't planning on going to Watton were you?"

Burt knows Watton is almost enroute to Kings Lynn, but he doesn't have a particular reason for going there yet unless he wanted to assist in whatever Karen was doing.

Scole -> Dedham Vale

[Ben rolled 2+1+2wits-1hungry=4]
Ben, against all odds, finds an untouched loaf of what looks like bread in a back cupboard. Its fully sealed and looks fine to eat (in the dim light). It tastes a bit funky, but he's so hungry he doesn't mind too much. When the walls start wiggling and floor starts singing to him, he figures something might have been wrong with it. Undaunted, he falls asleep.

When he wakes up, he's no longer hungry and his knee is feeling fine. The sky is a jazzy purple. He steps his improbably long legs straight onto a cloud and rides it loop-de-loop south for the rest of the day.

When he comes to his sense, he's chucking his guts up besides a tree on the edge of Dedham Vale. With his stomach still grumbling again, Ben continues on to the ambush point. His head is much clearer and he has honestly no idea how he managed to travel for a whole day without any memory of anything in between.

"You alright kid, you don't look too well?" is the first thing the pirate says to Ben when he arrives at the ambush point. It's a handful of tents hidden in the woods near the road. A few motorbikes with sidecars are parked in case a chase is needed. Six pirates have been hanging out here for days waiting for the arrival of the bigwigs. Someone is up a tree on lookout at all times.

Ben doesn't have much time to get settled when the lookout guy shouts down, "They're coming! They're coming!" In the near distance, Ben hears the sound of car engines...

Ben loses conditions: bruised knee, hungry
Ben gains condition: tripping
Ben loses condition: tripping
Ben gains condition: hungry.

Spooner Row
This is interesting. Marie is the target, and the mob are directly making a deal with her. this is relevant to StaggerLee and potentially the deal for turning the tower on, so it may be best to ping him about it. Continue spying and recording, and see if I can get close enough to climb up the truck to the chimney.
[P4 rolled 3+4+2body+1cat=10]
P4 slinks into the camp and leaps soundlessly onto the roof of the battle truck. There he slinks to the edge of the chimney where he hears two women's voices drift up from below.

"Tea?"

"Let's keep it to business."

"My offer still stands, Dulcamara, with you by our side we would be unstoppable. We could crush all the enemies. Destroy the killbots."

"The uploxed aren't our enemies. They're insane, yes, but they hold the key to a better world."

"If they're so wonderful why aren't you working for them now?"

"I have done and will again, but the Mob pay food and I need to eat."

"We have food here too you know..."

"Marie. About the offer?"

"Yes, it was as I said: on truckload of cans for her head. A very reasonable price."

"Weren't you friends?"

"Amy is a liability, she's too wasteful with the men's lives. Good people are hard to come by. Now, here's where she'll be. You'll want to inspect the cargo, I take?"

"That's right."

"Then talk to Fatal Pete by the Stobart truck."

With that the biker leaves the truck, leaving Marie alone inside. P4 can see off in the bushes, the group from the Keep watching him closely.

”Hold up Natrix don’t get triggered that easily makes you seem ill-tempered and ill-mannered, I’m just hear to escort the cloud seeder and drop off this bird. Sad that you don’t have any mission for a raid against the Londoners that your at war at, I so enjoy removing the fragile life of homosapiens and eliminating threats that challenge the Uploxed.

As for you Sandra, I’ll be by Watton for your Dromasaur Assassin and I’ll get you your two kudos in exchange for the satellite information.”

Rip open the cage bars and yeet gently let the magpie out of cage, than head to Watton

"I don't see why not. Maybe there'll be something good left around here. Like a jetpack! They probably managed to make those while we were frozen, right?" Theodore replies with a smile.

Airport exploration time! To the hangars to see if one of those planes is there for Timmy to check out. And maybe a jetpack, the old sci-fi staple.

Camel Paddock -> Laxfield
"Yeah, on my way. Sorry." Let's get going.
[Darrin rolled 4+3-1body=6]
Darrin climbs up over the fallen pillar. When he reaches the other side he slips and plunges head first into a crack in the earth on the other side. He stretches out his arm and, by luck, it's his fire-impervious arm that hits the lava. Balthazar grabs Darrin and pulls him to safety. The scientist is shaken, but otherwise unharmed.

The group continue in silence through the overgrown fields to Laxfield. Eventually they see the great radio tower spindling up in the distance. The ground around it has been scorched bare and in its place, spiralling around the tower, a vast scrap labyrinth has been assembled. Everywhere above it there are dozens of terraterror drones filming and moving metal walls and deadly traps into place.

On one end of the labyrinth there is an imposing black archway leading into the twisty passages beyond.

"What the actual..." says Chloe Fontaine.

Darrin has lost 1 luck.

[Jager rolled 6+1+3body=10]
Jager rips open the cage and the long-suffering bird flies off. Natrix is pleased by the release of the bird. He says quietly, "Oh the time for acting against the mutants will be soon, and when we do we will need all the hands we can get, don't you worry..."

The assassin zips through the shadows over to Watton. On the edge of town he spots something unusual. Phasing back into realspace, he sees a jeep crashed against an oak tree. The windscreen is completely smashed. There's a dead man dressed in a sharp suit lying half out the window. Behind him, inside the jeep, there's an usual sickly yellow light glowing.

Airport
"I don't see why not. Maybe there'll be something good left around here. Like a jetpack! They probably managed to make those while we were frozen, right?" Theodore replies with a smile.

Airport exploration time! To the hangars to see if one of those planes is there for Timmy to check out. And maybe a jetpack, the old sci-fi staple.
[Theodore rolled 5+6+0wits=11]
Timmy and Theodore have a whale of a time playing in the abandoned aeroplane hangars. They break into the Boeing of Timmy's dreams and he spends ages in the cockpit pretending to fly it, flipping all the levers and pulling at the joystick.

Theodore ransacks the cabins for anything of interest. He's all but given up and both are on their way back to the bus, when he sees a dilapidated refueling cart and inside, protected from the elements, is a box of jump-boots. The staff at the airport must have used them for accessing the outer parts of the planes while strapped into a safety harness (now, ropes rotten, part dangling from the roof of the hangar).

Timmy insists on reading the instruction manual. Apparently, when fuelled, they boost the wearer into the air. They can be used for hovering or for rocket assisted jumping. They're currently empty, but any kind of fuel would probably do, even booze.

"This doesn't seem very safe," says Timmy. "But I love it anyway."

Investigate the crash site, see if Jäger can find anything interesting in the wreckage. It’s looting time.
[Jager rolled 5+2+0wits=7]
Jager opens the driver seat door and the corpse collapses to the ground. He seems to have died from an acute case of having his heart pulled out through his back. As the body drops, a fancy pair of sunglasses spill to the ground.

Inside, the cab light is on, bathing the scene in a soft glow. There's blood everywhere, but other than the corpse, his shades, and the vehicle itself, there doesn't seem to be much here. Jager rifles through the jacket of the deadman and finds a list of names ticked off but he doesn't recognised any of the people listed. As he's looking he hears a woman's scream from the nearby thicket of trees.

Take the sunglasses and name list. Stalk and locate the position of the woman’s screaming, assessing why she is screaming or even better what she is.

As a direct result of recent events, Darrin is rather less patient than he typically is.
"Excuse me?" he shouts up toward the drones. But he's unheard, or maybe just ignored, or perhaps simply not responded to quickly enough.
So he uses Sonic Boom.
"EXCUSE ME, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?"
