Prepare a three focus body spell to stop or at least slow down it's retaliatory tentacle attacks.

Get back up and wreck him.

Spoiler: Vaiae (click to show/hide)

(5)Vaiae doesn't seem to be moving.
Use my taser on it, hopefully paralyzing it and/or stopping its growth
Spoiler: Nora (click to show/hide)
(6+1=7) Nora jabs her taser into the slimy flank of the beast. (10) The shock travels through beast as it starts to jitter and tremble. Part of the beast start smoking, but it seems to be more pissed off than before now.

Glorious Melee Combat

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
(3+4=7) Thag jumps in and clobbers the side of the beast, creating a sizable dent. (8+2 defense=*9*) Thag effortlessly dodges the barrage of tendrils that dart towards him.

Frank reloads while dodging incoming attacks.

Spoiler: Frank (click to show/hide)
(5+1=6) Frank manages to get the revolver reloaded. (7) A grasping tentacle grabs at his ankle, but he manages to shrug it off.

Keep shooting that thing with my shotgun.
Spoiler: Burt (click to show/hide)
(5+2=7) Burt uses his shotgun to blast away some of the larger tentacles.

Prepare a three focus body spell to stop or at least slow down it's retaliatory tentacle attacks.
(1, 1, 10) Alice gets a nosebleed, then promptly collapses to the floor.
Attack the monster with my chainsaw.

Spoiler: Arp (click to show/hide)
(3) Arps revs the chainsaw, and sticks in into the beast, but the saw just gets gummed up immediately and becomes stuck to the monster. (4) This causes the creature to reach around and lock its beak around the hapless robot. (3+3 health) The creature tosses Arp against the wall, battered, but still functional.

Ichor leaks from various wounds, and the creature momentarily stops digging. However, just when it seems to have given up, it manages to recover enough to continue its progress with a renewed fury.

Frank opens fire on the creature, this time attempting to aim more carefully at the area around the beak - hopefully that's where the brain is.

Regret being extremely flimsy.

Spoiler: Vaiae (click to show/hide)

Vaiae silently fades away, leaving only a broken corpse.

Try to slice off some tentacles
Spoiler: Nora (click to show/hide)
(1) Nora manages to get a tentacle wrapped around her neck. (5+1 defense) The tentacle slams her into the wall, (6+2 health) she lands on the ground, scuffed up, but none the worse.
Get up and attack the thing with my sledgehammer.

Spoiler: Arp (click to show/hide)
Arp brandishes the sledgehammer and rushes back into the fray. (2) He swings the hammer at the first tentacle he sees, and manages to lose hold of it. (1) A second tentacle comes out of nowhere and slams him directly across the head (7+3=*9* health). Arp is knocked down and, losing coordination temporarily, but he's still somehow in one piece.
Continue bonking, this time with my glorious bonk-buddy.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
(8+4=*9*) Thag leaps forth and crushes the beak with one mighty blow. (10) When a leg stabs down towards him, he catches it, and rips the whole leg off.

Frank opens fire on the creature, this time attempting to aim more carefully at the area around the beak - hopefully that's where the brain is.

Spoiler: Frank (click to show/hide)
(9+1=*9*) Frank expertly puts 3 bullets into the wrecked whole where the beak was before Thag became acquainted with it. Black ichor gushes out from the bullet holes. (2) Frank is so caught up in the glory of the situation he doesn't see the sidewise tentacle the hits him square in the ribs (7+2=9 health). Bruised and battered, but still standing, Frank catches his breath.

Aim for the most vital looking parts and shoot them with my shotgun.
Spoiler: Burt (click to show/hide)
(6+2=8) Burt decides to follow Frank's lead, and puts a few shotgun blasts into the beak hole. The area around the hole becomes little more than a chunk of mincemeat. (5) Burt gets hit my a swipe from the leg, but it doesn't faze him.

Remain on the ground and shoot it with the pistol.
(10) Alice empties her entire pistol magazine directly into the beasts brain, which is now conveniently gaping wide open from the consistent barrage of the teams collective firepower. A tidal wave of black ichor spurts out of the beasts's head, before the thing shudders and falls to the ground, remaining perfectly still once and for all.

Celebrate by dancing.

It's probably not right to eat the mutated hell-beast, but celebrate anyway.

Move Vaiae's corpse outside the entrance to the cave area, for safekeeping.  Need to bury it or burn it or do whatever avians do for their dead later.

Check the room for loot and see if I can wear the suit I've been carrying around.
