Along those lines, if you just found those I'll mention that I re-did a few of the old maps with seasonal variations right when Dom5 first came out - I wanna say Valanis, Sharivar, Urraparand (w/caves), Cradle of Dominions, and Glory of the Gods. I used a somewhat systematic procedure to recolor them so they're not as pretty as hand-drawn ones like those Pymous did for the official release, but I flatter myself to think they looked decent. They should all be here (I never had enough ambition to upload them to the workshop, especially since they were modifications of other people's work).

It is, however, curious how the general burnout happened just about concurrently with the release of Dom5.

It's somewhat self-fulfilling. Seeing that there weren't games running here, rather than try to start one, I just played elsewhere for a while.

That's pretty much what happened with me. But I really wanted to play with everyone on Bay12 too, so while I'm not exactly the best person to run a game I decided to get this up and running.

I'm just looking at the settings and getting overwhelmed by all of the map options. Does the following settings work for everyone?

Mods: None
Hall of Fame Size: 10
Global Slots: 5
Ascension points required for victory: 10
Number of level 1 thrones: 7
Number of level 2 thrones: 4
Number of level 3 thrones: 1
Cataclysm: Disabled

I assume that most people are fine with whatever. I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything obvious.

The game is now up and ready for pretender submission. When you submit your pretender, make sure to say that you did so and what nation it is, so that I know that everyone is in.

I was thinking about those, but it's been so long that I'm not sure how good they are anymore. So vanilla should be fine for now, though if another game gets ran after this they might be included.

Gimme a number of hours. Too sleep deprived at the moment, but will have time later when I'm not sleep deprived to construct a pretender.

Going to shake things up a bit from my normal; I'm going to go with Phaeacia. I'm so out of practice it probably won't hurt me that much moving away from the things that I am used to.
