Last place is good for me as I can choose my actions carefully to defend against what might come after me... but going before other players is really useful- especially in combat or if you want to use your Order power. But if you want to go last, just build more castles Tric!

I thought it'd be safe for me to pick domain as there was no recruiting so you couldn't do your really fancy trick.

I thought it'd be safe for me to pick domain as there was no recruiting so you couldn't do your really fancy trick.

Go down swinging. I approve! And there's only so much harm he can do back this round as he didn't choose Conquer last turn either.

This makes me think... an interesting change to the rules next game would be to make expand work the same as Conquer, and have the selection bonus be necessary for expanding (or developing etc.) from terrain you've just expanded to (and thus the bonus wouldn't give a free expand). This would mean people were less spidery in their expansion. (If I did that, I'd remove the Expand bonus from Peace's Domain power and replace it with Wall.)

Also I think Wall is a bit underpowered as it is, as there are so many angles you can be attacked from. I'm tempted in the next version of this game to make Wall work the same as the Earth Fortify power: allow you to create a single unbroken Wall as long as you like around one tile. This would encourage a lot more walling, which would make things tactically more interesting (and beef up the value of Hunting Grounds).

If I did that, I'd make Fortify more powerful (like allowing you to build one single unbroken wall adjacent to any number of tiles you own. So if SC had it in this game, he could build a wall from 106 to 127, covering 5 tiles in a single action.

I’m doing the only required conquer action to get my Castle and long-term VP, my goal wasn’t to wipe you off the map since your vote still allows for more possible actions per turn.

Year 7

Border skirmishes continues between Nymphra and Deus Vultio, and Foren sought to impose order on the chaotic domain of the Goo Lord. As year 7 began, the great wheels stopped turning, the expansion was suddenly halted. There would be blood, yes! but for a while no seizure of empty heavens.
