As he moved forwards (as noisily as usual, quite likely driving Iris a bit nutty), Alexander finally commented.

He shrugged, and then fell silent -- he had expressed all that he found himself able to even articulate in his own mind.

Despite falling still for a moment following Iris's attack, the man carrying the staff snaps back into motion! Stepping back away from Ciera, he brandishes the bloody red staff, the gem held at the end emitting a sinister light.

Three figures appear in a flash of light, one alone and two together. The first is a man standing tall in full plate, wearing only tomes. The two are a man and woman, each brandishing axes and other weapons. As one, they take a ready stance.

Ciera's vision is filled with haze, and an uncontrollable fury takes her hold of her body. The rider, compelled by the staff, pulls her pegasus into a quick loop, turning on Iris!
