"Admirable effort, but I think we're done here."

Swap to Ray, finish him. If successful, perform Julius.

Julius pulled himself off the ground and dusted off his jacket, doing his best to ignore the dull ache that was once again suffusing through his chest.

"Alright, good! Now that that's all been dealt with-"

He turned his head having heard a growl coming from the remaining demon behind the corner looming over the downed Ciera.

"Just a moment let me get that."

Branwen moves to where the Bone Lord once stood, and laid her hand upon the armrest. That moment, she felt a sharp shock, just below pain, and the remaining skeletons fell still.

"And that's that." Catherine said, snapping her tome closed.

"Let's take a look around, yes? We were looking for an artifact... if I had to guess, it'll either be on the body of the one that was on the throne, or else it'll be wherever all those skeletons were coming from." Catherine said, walking up to the body and crouching down to start looking around for anything interesting.

Branwen hisses loudly as she lays a hand on the armrest and jumps back from the throne like it had stung her, muttering what sounded like a mix between various curses and exclamations of pain.

"I'll search the far area."

And with that Vahn walked past everyone and dropped into the bone-pit.

Apart from the armor (which, while appearing metal at a distance, appeared to be some manner of magically reinforced bone up close) and weapons that the creature had carried, there was nothing upon the Bone Lord. The throne that sat behind him, however, was flanked by stacks of books.

Vahn's choice to explore the bone pit yielded little. The pit was filled with human skeletons in various states of assembly, none of them moving. Whatever force had been causing the pit to disgorge skeletons, it was gone now.

Catherine, after noticing the various books, made a beeline for them. Hopefully the magic ring would also apply to reading - while she didn't have all the details yet, she was starting to recall enough to know that this world was not hers. If she could read the books, she'd peruse the titles and maybe flip open some and take a glance through, seeing if anything was relevant.

The books appeared to be a collection on magical theory and necromancy, broadly. While certainly of scholarly interest, none of them appeared, at a glance and skim, to be particularly special.

At least, until Catherine took hold of the largest book in the stack. Her trained senses could feel the pulse of magical energy that coursed through the pages, trapped by the binding.

The green-clad stranger moves with purpose through the area, studying the fallen skeletons for any sign that they would reanimate again. As he moves, he gradually approaches the wounded Pegasus Knight, drawing the smaller, blue flute of his pair.
: "That looks pretty bad. Hang on, let's get you standing."
He presses the flute to his lips, drawing out the healing melody he had used, and bringing the Pegasus Knight and her mount back to health.
: "...Are you okay? That was a pretty dangerous maneuver you did, I'd rather not see such a lovely face hurt."

Vahn poked around for awhile anyway. He thought he could use a few moments alone while he processed memories filtering in.

"Interesting..." Catherine said to herself, taking that book and examining it. She wouldn't open it just yet, just in case, but she tried to see if she could figure out what it did.
