Alexander squinted for a moment, the teenaged girl's actions and mannerisms reminding him of something, before he nodded with surety and spoke:
:"You remind me of my daughters. ...I have a wife and teenaged daughters. Hmm."
He then ponderously clanked off, distracted as he mulled that revelation over, moving towards the approaching mass of rattling bones.

Catherine speed-walked to catch up with the others. Running seemed pointless, they were going to make contact with the enemy again soon from the looks of it and wouldn't be getting too far ahead. She wrote some notes and made some sketches in her book as she went.
