Iris watched in confusion as Gregor charged one direction, then turned in a loop and went the other way, before deciding on the right direction. What a silly man.

"...Excellent work, Gregor!" Iris said excitedly, before catching herself.

She was never that upbeat. She felt vaguely embarrassed to have lost her artistic composure for a moment.

"...Er, I mean. It seems our attacks were sufficient, Mr. Hexham."

: "Oh, that was all your doing. I just pushed it over."

: "It's okay to be excited, you know. I mean, we're all from different worlds and we're fighting honest-to-Dragon monsters. That feels like the sort of thing a younger me would have been thrilled about." Gregor's turn of phrase gave him pause. "Honest-to-Dragon" rolled naturally off his tongue, as though it were something he had said before. Perhaps that was the name of his god?

Otiros glanced down at his crossbow and the now...Dead? foe before releasing a much less dense smoke from his helmet.
"Aaah...This crossbow packs quite the punch, truly a satisfying sensation."

The green-clad stranger remained at the edge of the group, eyes carefully examining the area as they ventured into the cave. Once their opposition became apparent, he tensed.
: "Well, they're not human targets, at least."
With a click, a large case at his belt opens, and he draws the flute he had retrieved from the armory. He stares at it for a few moments as the battle begins around him.
: "...Really hoping this memory is correct."
He quickly dashes towards the two that had engaged the undead to their west, pulling the flute to his mouth.
: "Send them packing!"
A light, sprightly tune begins to echo from the stranger's direction, urging those in earshot to lighter movements and greater action!

"My thanks. It's not easy to keep these bones moving."

Vahn moves to H20 and stands there. Menacingly.

The battle, the weight of the javelin, the flapping of the pegasus wings, it all felt right somehow. Familiar. Even the music, oddly enough, felt in place. It caused a slight hesitation, a glance down at the man with the flute, the man whose name she still didn't know, but then she was off again. Distraction in battle was a death sentence. Memories would come late.

Catherine stepped forward after the pegasus vacated the spot, opening her fire tome and channeling some power - a fireball snapped into existence over her hand. She took a deep breath, and it glowed brighter and hotter. Yeah, this was definitely familiar.

"They fall to swords and bows normally; I wonder how well they burn?"

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

"I'd say so." Catherine enjoyed that entirely too much - it felt like it'd been ages. She wondered if she'd retired before being summoned? She seemed a bit young for it, but maybe the whole heroism thing had happened early.
