You recieve some new explosives from the USSCCI. They're all packed up in round shells, carefully packaged with space away from each other. There's enough to equip two artillery pieces, although the need for spacing means they will only have a limited supply of ammunition.
You also send off your unused infiltration team to attempt to discover more organizations. They will start at the Council of Funding Nations.
A scientist arrives from the USSCCI. He goes about copying data and briefing your other boffins about the USSCCI jet design, which seems like a normal jet with half of the fancy sensors ripped out.
Apparently the plan is for him to work on future jet improvements, and the first step is to give you a working copy.

You ship off the harpoon vehicle to Lord Silver, and send along a load of cash and a kaiju skin sample.
In return.. you get a pretty old, beat up T-55 tank, that has been painted completely silver, and has two additional modifications.. a-bolted on ERA kit and a big boxy muzzle brake.
It arrives via parachute, as it's dropped from a seemingly clear sky to land gently in the parking area. Taped to the cannon barrel is a bag with a VHS tape, which causes you to scramble for a few days to find one.
It's a series of videos of what looks like a bunch of heavily armed rednecks playing around with the tank. It seems the odd boxy thing adds a lot of penetration power, as the cannon can blow through concrete walls with ease.
Also, one of the videos shows the rednecks strapping explosive charges to the tank, causing big sections of tank to explode, along with the ERA. While you watch, the damaged vehicle regrows the missing parts.
Still, it doesn't seem that tough, not if it's getting damaged by fairly conventional explosives.
Storage turns out to not be too much of a problem. It is self-willed, and capable of moving on its own, but time time you're set. You set up a sort of elevator and treadmill system that lets it trundle around in place happily for hours.
On the arbritrary 'containment difficulty' scale, it's estimated as a 6, and will cost about 35 a month to keep pacified.
The new exoskeletons are almost done. Estimated cost is 50 per batch.
Your Jaeger project is almost done, as well. Estimated cost is 1x Kaiju Muscle Sample, and 150. They should be significantly more powerful than existing tanks, if only modestly tougher. Also, they use high-velocity rocket powered sabot based ammunition, and as such will recieve little benefit from researching specialized payloads.
The "manportable" nuclear arms team expresses relief at the project goals being relaxed. They estimate that the changes lead to about an eight month decrease in the ETA.

Kaiju acid can be applied to units. 10 units enough to outfit two tanks and some infantry rockets. Or one tank and one artillery unit. Or one SAM launcher. Improves ability of weapon to penetrate armour. Can cause some extra damage by melting the kaiju over time. Effects increase with multiple hits and with the size of the payload.

There are one or two things missing.. you think that if you designed a product using kaiju acid, you could make much more payload than the amount of consumed kaiju acid, and could theoretically turn 1 unit into like a dozen.
Still, it's a limited supply of the raw resource, and who can say when you'll be getting more acid? Or if you ever will?
Work begins on Giant Aquatic Workshops. Things are going pretty well, except that lead scientist is now constantly wearing a hat and shouting "YARR" at everyone.
Your fancy jet comes in from the USSCCI. You're expecing a new, slick looking jet, but it's another one of those battered ones. The new stuff is in the missiles, which come in big boxes marked HANDLE WITH CARE and long instruction sheets for safe handling.
Fortunately, hanging them from jet wings has them spread out enough to not worry about the spacing requirements.

You count your jets. Two. You had two jets to begin the month, built a third jet, and sent that one off to Irony. Two jets remain.
The Valencite production is more entertaining than playing Count, as it is composed of a series of chemical processing tanks, pumping stations, and tubes.
The coolest part is the final two steps which are done under dry ice, which was the big innovation that allowed them to be mass-produced.. the first production method would have required liquid nitrogen, which while usable, would have slowed things down terribly.
Work begins on the new long-range jet project. It should be relatively basic, you're mostly installing an improved radar system and working out the glitches with the munitions. It's not the easiest thing, as several parts of the fuselage need to be redesigned to fit the new electronics, but no major problems are forseen.
Work also begins on furthering your work on explosives. This project features a lot of words about 'quasi-stable allotropes' and 'spin-stabilized lamellar flow', along with lines about how it'll let them increase the detonation velocity, but the net takeaway is that it should be possible, albeit significantly more expensive.
There's a bit of shuffling to get the Valencite to where it needs to go.

More exciting are the chemical mini-jetpacks that are going to be inserted into the legs. These are cool! Sadly you need your blood to be composed of some modified kaiju goop to use them, but cool nonetheless.
Your work on the heart-eating portal to beyond also is going well. They figure that making the portal room will be relatively cheap, but the hard part is finding the right manner of "demon" to negotiate with, given that you want one that's reliable and doesn't like setting everything on fire because.
