Your team trying to steal money from Red Sands is unsuccessful.  They don't have access to the location of their funding like the Hand team did.  Still, they're undetected and ready for further work.

Your bid wins and the new scientist arrives.

You set to further enhancing the Nekobutchers.  It's.. pretty extreme.  Increasing the speed further will take significantly more time, as is the durability.  The lead scientists suggest improving the armour instead of the toughness to reduce the time some.  With things as they are now, you're looking at a time of longer than a year to finish the project.

From your detection array, you can infer some information about the kaiju.  Firstly, it's moving at a very stable pace, seemingly unaffected by the shape of the sea floor.

Secondly, one of the energy signatures on the kaiju seems similar to the previous kaiju.  It has a weapon that is probably related to the previous kaiju.

Lastly, it's definately weaker, although you don't have enough information to provide a numerical evaluation of such.

As for how it arrived, you find out that where the kaiju arrived into the world leaves behind a portal or disturbance of some kind.  This lasts for a couple of weeks.  When a kaiju returns to its world, there is no detectable disturbance, it simply seems to vanish from one moment to another.

Lastly, your intel agency sniffs out that there will be some US modern tanks at the battle, to assist with defeating the Kaiju.

This one hits close to home. While it tears my heart up to see the good old US of A under siege, the fact that it is just a couple of states over could mean we can get there in time to make some preparations. Our Infantry and Artillery will be deployed immediately, with orders to procure equipment from the city allowing them to dig in defensive positions in the potential battlefield. Fox holes for the infantry, and a nice dirt fortification for the artillery if we can find enough dirt. Scope out buildings that could potentially be used as cover for either, especially in areas with limited foxholification ability. Turn that beachfront into Normandy on D-day, make extra holes for the other teams if we have extra time.

Don't bother if the Kaiju is already shooting by the time we show up :V

The AC-130 will deploy normally, engaging the Kaiju following standard ADD protocol.

(The strike is due to having a project escape.  Unfortunately, I made a mistake and your project should have been removed as well, because it escaped.

It's probably just as well, as with those orders it would have escaped again, getting you another strike, if it hadn't done so already.  There are escapes where the project is re-contained, and there are escapes where it simply destroys part of your base and runs away.

Strikes are basically how far you have to go before the pitchforks and torches show up.  Having a project fully escape gets you one.

I'll let you do a retroactive action for last turn as well as your action this turn due to it being invalid.  I'm sorry.)

It grew a bit more now that it's unconstrained, but you think it's done, stable at about the size of a large tank.

..it doesn't look that dangerous, all told.  I mean, it's big, but those are just normal cat claws and teeth, and it's still made of soft flesh.  Clearly more room for improvement.

You discard the incomplete modification for the giant sub.  Tank looks much more interesting, anyway.  You don't even have the giant sub.

Work on the time-device goes.. awesomly.  But, there's one fundamental issue.

How does a device that turns back time to repair itself work when it itself is damaged?  Any destroyed tank will not be able to repair itself, because the repair device will be non-functional.  Nothing is impossible for mad science, but that problem.. well, it doesn't seem within reach.  It'd be much easier to make some kinda automated factory that'll produce T-55 tanks like gumballs, and that certainly wouldn't be easy.

You do get a device that will repair the damaged tank automatically, and not only that, repair itself fast enough to be viable on the battlefield.  But not repairing itself from destruction.  And.. looking at the tank, there's a lot more room for improvement.  It isn't even slightly menacing.

After some adventures with your ape minions, which are too numerous and awesome to describe with words, you settle down and begin work on the Fog Machine again.

You've managed to significantly upgrade the quantity of fog produced.  Although still short ranged, you think there's enough fog to hide up to three units now, although they still have to be close together.  You figure that expanding the range won't be too difficult, as would be thickening the fog to make it better at hiding things, although if it gets thicker, it might cause issues with tanks too old to have proper night vision and other such sensors.

It's still somewhat worrying that essentially the rest of the machine, other than the fog generator, is a fragile shell of a vehicle that moves at little more than walking pace.  That might limit it's tactical usefulness.

Anyway, it clearly needs more.  More everything.

Deploy both artillery pieces, a unit of FriendCo Wasps, and our peculiar mercenary Grizzly.

Artillery is to fire at will, don't worry about safety. FriendCo Wasps are to meander in and begin the stabbing. Grizzly is to find some cover and have at it.


My forces will be rather tepid this turn. If my wasps can close to melee range without being murdered they'll proceed to butcher the kaiju like a fattened cow, but probably only for one turn. Grizzly hits harder than artillery and at significant range, but both are kinda low bars. Oh well~

Dr. Unpleasant sat looking out the hole in the wall his experiments made on their escape and was saddened that they took with them what could have been his greatest achievement, but he would keep going by creating something even more amazing!

But first he would have to steal legally obtain a kangaroo, and use his massive amounts of brain power to give it human level intelligence and the ability to talk as it is incredibly important.

Secondly he'd make it even smarter and stronger so it could be used in the future for the thing he was planing on using it for.
