For sanity's sake the black market stuff has been delivered ahead of time. It's all the same either way this turn, after all.
Intel stuff and the kaiju things to follow tomorrow, hopefully. Feel free to make orders. There will be two Kaiju, one in Australia, and one in the southern part of the South China Sea.
Thanks for sticking with me!

Research continues on the manportable nuclear arms. Reports do seem a bit promising, though, and they announce they're a little ahead of schedule. It may be possible to complete the project a few months sooner than was initially estimated.
Research on the Jaeger project has begun. Initial design goals for the project are as such:
Vehicle is to be a Large size, larger than any currently existing ground combat vehicle.
Firepower superior to all existing tanks.
Speed and manueverability are not a priority, vehicle will be relatively slow-moving, although more mobile than artillery pieces or SAM launchers
Armour protection is favored, but a secondary priority. Goal is only a slight improvement over existing tanks in protection levels.
The vehicle will be deployed on land and in use with other units.
If you feel said goals are too low, or too high, at this early stage adjustments are possible.

Emerald Robin:
You begin construction rapidly of a number of new facilities and upgrades, kicking your base into a small frenzy of activity.
The infantry platoon arrives, as does the new Grenade technical you purchase. You also begin the construction of a new Armoured Laser Technical, at a price of 100. (75, +25 for the armour mod.) You do realize, at the last moment, that you cannot construct new Armour Kits for the purchased technical, as your workshop is occupied with the construction of the new Laser technical. This should be okay, however, as one can be built during the action phase and deployed this month, if desired.
As for research, you put your mad scientists to work. The first one works on the muscle dissasembly project, and manages to gather three usable samples from the large segment of raw Kaiju Muscle. These are quite dense and very power-efficient, and you think they could be used in any research project to significantly enhance the performance of anything that moves. More, however, will be required to build the designs you make that include it.
The second research team begins work on duplicating the purchased ERA armour kits. One is consumed in the research process, but they announce succesfully recreating the kits to be manufactured as you desire in the future.

Intel Teams:
The teams working in the two listening posts announce only limited success in copying the design of the building. However, confidence remains good, and they feel that they will recover the goods in no more than a few months.
The team that has infiltrated the Council of Funding Nations announces no major developments this month. There is little new information to pass to home base.
The team inside the Hand has announced a great success. Two sources for funds have been revealed.. a ship wrecker's yard in Greece that operates outside the law to repurpose stolen ships, while collecting a good cut, and a smuggling ring for knockoff Chinese electronics. However, the team reports that some suspicion has fallen on them, and they will need to lie low for a while before conducting future operations.
Designs:
Laser Technical. 75. Zippy four-wheel drive truck armed with a powerful bed-mounted laser. This design may be combined with the technical armour kit design to be produced in one turn at a cost of 100.
Technical Armour Kits. 25. Adds armour to unarmored small vehicles like Technicals. Also applicable to artillery pieces. Qualifies for combination with the Advanced ERA plates.
Advanced ERA plates. 25. Improves armour on any small, medium or large vehicle that is already armoured.

The Dissection Annex is built, but unfortunately, not ready for use immediately. It is ready now. When recruiting an infantry platoon, you stumble for a bit when trying to find out where they are to be bunked. Your base only has one barracks, after all. Whoops.
You put your lead scientist to work on trying to develop methods of boosting popular support. After some efforts and some meetings, your lead scientist comes up with a couple proposals:
Designs could be made for a PR center that can potentially influence the region. It will cost some money, but should help you gain greater support for your faction inside the Council of Funding Nations.
Also, the existing intelligence collecting building called a "Listening Post" might allow you opportunities to help you gain favor.
Secondly, perhaps an action phase could be used with some important unit belonging to you, such as a flashy weapon or a veteran unit in an attempt to make progress?
(20 funding will be deducted if the building design is chosen, retroactively. Alternatively, I'll allow you to dissect one kaiju part, albeit without the annex bonus. If neither is chosen, no cost will be expended.)
A large amount of cash is sent out of your coffers to your fellow organizations and Unhinged Beings. Hopefully the results will be worth it.
The Coke Knights are reliable at least, and the 40mm gas grenades show up. You figure there are enough to equip three units with them. Similarly, the body armour is a full truck load, with enough for several hundred soldiers. It seems like it'll be enough for several infantry platoons, as well as improving the survivability of even unarmored vehicles, such as technicals and artillery pieces, due to the better protection afforded the crew. (Equipping will occur at the time of the action phase, simply for bookkeeping purposes.)
+3x High Quality Body Armour.
+4x 40mm Nerve Gas Grenades.
A balding man shows up with a very long, wrapped package held by a pair of robot arms. It's uncomfortably close to his groin.
..unwrapping it reveals a very hazardous chemical weapon. Extremely hazardous, really. It seems quite capable of melting organic material from a hundred feet away, reducing basically any test material to liquid sludge. It's not exactly equivalent to any existing equipment, and you don't quite have the tools for a proper assessment, but you now own the most dangerous infantry-useable weapon in the world, bar none.
Well, maybe other than the Davy Crockett nuclear bomb launcher. Except for that one.
You do manage to get it stowed away, but the security patrols express extreme unease around it. It just instills dread, even sitting on a rack surrounded by open space, as if it's merely biding its time.

Black Market
Your bid on the lead scientist is successful, and the money arrives from Happytime Inc. You then turn around and spend it on acting as middleman for the black market goods, shipping them off to Happytime. Without even making a profit, you generous person you.
Lord Silver also recieves funds. Hopefully the mysterious being will come through.
Forcefield research continues. One of your many scientists figures that the project will complete next month. Early tests look satisfying, and lead to the vague suggestion that while one of these will work on any vehicle, (that isn't enormous) it'll work slightly better on a vehicle that is already tough.
You start work in your large lab on an armoured version of a MRLS. Tough as possible is hard to define, but the project is aiming for a toughness superior to a modern tank. If you would like them to aim higher or lower, now is the time to redirect the project.
Your new MRLS also arrives. You shove it in the workshop, as you don't have an empty hangar.

Your modern tank arrives, and is promptly, and unceremoniously, shoved in the newly-created hangar. The Large Workshop will take a while longer, however..

Dr. Unpleasant
Spending a bit longer on the blueness, you gaze into the abyss.
It sort of stares back at you, singing. You now feel that the assembly process has gotten a bit more..abrupt, but you now need to be careful as bits of the rest of the base seem occasionally blue, and sometimes you lose your way going towards the Lab Zone. You are somewhat curious as to what happens if you continue improving your product.

Following the Escape incident, you purchase some construction materials and fix your base up. Adding a sort of carrier-wave property to the death ray? What an idea! It's like some genius came up with it.

Flavor text: A balding man with thick glasses, robot arms, and several restraining orders; Bill Pelican is here for the hedonistic fun of inventing a crotch mounted chainsaw while high on ketamine.
Having, happily, found someone else who shares your love for protein degradation, you bundle up your package of joy and hand-deliver it to Happytime Atrocities. They pay well, or at least as well as anyone can with these pallets of greenbucks. Bah! Not even one half-naked android. Still, there might be something to do with the money.
