It can probably reach into the water with those big arms. And who knows how badly it can or will hurt us doing so. Hiding's not a great option, it would be better to run. Either back the way we came or into that next room. Alternatively, we could fight the droid or try to communicate.

Say Hi. If it doesn't respond to human talking, attack; flap into the air, tackling the hover droid and forcing it down into the water.

Say Hi.

The droid makes some droid-noises in response to your speech but if they are an answer, you can't understand it.

You wait for the droid to get close enough. Once it's in range, you twist around, using your wings as a scoop with which to throw water at the droid. You manage to throw a massive amount of water at it. The droid emits a panicked beeping but makes no effort to dodge. When the water hits it, its floating-noise stops. The droid stays in the air for another moment and then falls to the ground with a big splosh. It is left floating there, bobbing up and down with the waves, occasionally emitting a short, whiny noise, as if it's in pain or calling out for help.

• Glide: You can glide in order to survive falls and quickly move great distances, though your wings are too weak to allow you true flight. However you can use favorable winds and updrafts to increase your glide time.
• Rudimentary Human Language: You are able to understand human language to a very basic degree. You won't understand everything though and there will likely be misunderstandings. You can also attempt to speak, but you can only form simple, short sentences and it's very hard for others to understand you.

• Ali's Apartment (Lair): A tiny 2 bedroom apartment. The little human Ali lives there with Dad/Jobal and Mom/Ania.
• Ali's Apartment Tower: Apartments arranged in a circle. Clean, bright, mostly locked doors, few hiding places. Little traffic during the night.
• Streets: Dirty streets, parked hovercars, shops, building entrances, street vendors, little traffic during the night.
• Maintenance Tunnels: Interconnected tunnels, small and large, going low and high. Connect various streets and buildings. Wires and pipes.  Dark, dirty, with old machines constantly rumbling. Scavenger-vermin and hunters-of-vermin.
• Garbage Pit: A large room with mountains of garbage half-submerged in a sea of sludge. More garbage frequently arrives from holes in the ceiling. A monster lurks here, may pull prey underwater.

You push the droid, sending it bobbing up and down the water like an oversized fishing float. It's surprisingly heavy for something that can fly. As it floats away, it drifts into a particularly thick branch. It catches the branch with one of its arms and very slowly lifts itself up to perch on it. It makes a chirping noise and then stops moving. Hmm. Maybe it needs some time to dry off before it can fly. Then you notice it has stabbed an appendage with a pointy bit into the branch. Feeding on it maybe? Do droids eat? Or maybe it's doing some sort of work in it? The smartvac "eats" dust, cleaning floors. Maybe this does something with the plants? You could pry it open and check inside it. Or you could search around to see if there's any clue about what it does and what this place is.

Your mouth and tongue feel a bit numb. Must be because of that leaf you bit. It doesn't feel painful though, just numb and a bit tingly
