If we see any death markings (skull and crossbones) avoid that plant
"death markings"? "crossbones"? You don't know those words. There's too many human words for a dragon that's less than a year old to learn. And then there's all the non-human words. There's even words used by machines and you think some machine-species speak different machine-words than others. You think you'll be learning words for a long time, especially if you have to figure out their meaning based on context, like you've been doing so far.
take the dive. Maybe there are fishies!
You slam the machine, breaking the screws holding it in place and pushing it away. There's a grinding noise as the fan comes to a stop. You take a deep breath and then dive through the hole, past the purple-green leaves and into the water.
Lost Status: SmellyYou twist around in the water and then poke your head out of the surface to take a look around. Though the branches and leaves obscure much of your surroundings, you can see enough to get an idea of where you are.
The ceiling has a large number of powerful lamps, so bright that it's hard to look at them directly. They are positioned in a somewhat haphazard manner, as if whoever was putting them there didn't care too much about how pretty they looked. The walls attest to that, wall panels missing here and there, thick cables sticking out from the holes like guts from an open wound. You can see an open door leading to a comparatively much darker corridor.
The plants have thick branches and leaves, however they somehow manage to not extend into each other or become higher than a certain height. You bite one of the leaves experimentally. It releases a viscous fluid that has a very bitter taste. They're not pleasant to eat.
The water is not too deep, it's a bit more than is needed to fully submerge a human. It's mostly clean, though it has a strange taste and small particles floating inside it. The plants have numerous roots; swimming near the bottom without getting tangled in them would be hard.
Beyond the buzzing of the lights, the rumbling of some machine and the sloshing and dripping of water you can also hear the noise the floaty-droids like the smartvac make. You push down the leaves in front of you, searching for the source of the noise until you spot the floaty-droid, levitating just above the canopy. It's a grey orb, a bit larger than your head. It has two large skeletal arms (one on either side) and a lot of smaller limbs near its bottom, some of them with dangerous-looking sharp or pointy bits. Right above them there is a great green eye. Wires are dangling from a missing panel near its top, making it look like it has colorful, frizzy hair. It emits an annoyed noise and starts lazily floating towards where you are.
