Our story begins like any other - with polar bears, gunfire, and half a bag of shrooms.

You're lucky, the gunfire's not aimed at you. Least, you don't think it is, if it is, it's doing a pretty damn lousy job. No, the gunfire's outside, from who, at who, you can't really tell right now. You've only just breached the network.

You're in a dilapidated apartment, bare concrete furnished only with shattered glass and bullet holes, the intoxicating scent of honey hangs in the air, and a bag promising a whole different kind of intoxication is lying on the floor.

Hmm, shrooms, convenient. Your AMS has detected possible vulnerabilities, vulnerabilities hidden away, desychronized from the the reality of the network here, to expose them you'll need to sync up, and guess what you can use to sync up?

The ground beneath you tilts and bobs. Guess the foundations aren't in much a better state that the rest of this joint.

"Hey, hey so." Jin stumbled sideways as the buidling tilted, a stupid grin drawn on her face.

"Shrooms, am I right?"

Consume shrooms with response or without.

And by God, was she going to use it.

Bogosort-chan pops into existence. Late to the party as always, eh? There's gunfire roaring outside, Jin is holding a bag of shrooms and a bag of anthrax, better hope she doesn't mix the two up.

the disembodied mass of stuffed bears reconfigures, becoming a single enormous stuffed bear head which then unhinges its jaw, revealing some... rather uncomfortably human looking teeth inside.

"Yes. Shrooms."

Consume shrooms with response or without.
Day turns to cavernous night and mushrooms begin to sprout from in the corners and edges of the room. A rhythmic pulse ripples through them, a wave of light traveling through the fungal masses, the shrooms glowing a ghostly blue before disgorging their light as clouds of drifting spores. Judging by the direction it's coming from, the source of the pulse must be coming from outside the room, traveling inwards. Maybe from somewhere in the building, maybe from outside, definitely not here though.

You cannot see the world through Jin's eyes. You cannot see her hallucinations, you cannot bear witness to the world she finds herself in now. Oh wait, you totally can. You open a link to her avatar's sensors, hardly a difficult matter given that you two, your real bodies are in the same office after all.

Huh, more mushrooms, trippy.

((No. Didn't think this would need one since it's just a system test.))

(Oh, I asked since I’m interested in joining the actual game once the test is complete)

((Ah right, the actual game will/would have an actual OOC for recruitment and whatnot.))

"Let's go!" Jin skipped towards an exit from the room, plucking a few more mushrooms (maybe try to get a few before the pulse reaches them) on the way.
Consume more, then hop out.

In a flash, a girl appeared -- looking more humanoid than the mass of stuffed bears, that was sure. Her hair, in pigtails which went down to her back, was an eclectic, rainbow-colored mess, with patches of individual colors scattered with no rhyme or reason, which shifted into other random patterns every few seconds. Her clothes were surprisingly normal and mundane for an AI, as they just looked like, well, what were normal clothes for humans, albeit clothes just chosen completely at random, as she was wearing a yellow sweater and a pair of jean shorts. When she noticed that she had appeared with the others, she grinned and clapped. "Yay! I got it right this time!"

When Jin announced that they should get going, the girl (Bogosort-chan) nodded enthusiastically, turned, and walked directly into a wall. As was usual with Bogosort-chan, she would probably have to be gently guided along to be navigated somewhere.

And so, one of the bears flowing from the endless maw of the Teddy Breach is propelled onto the head of young Bogosort-chan, its job to steer her and ensure that she stayed going where she needed to be going. Well, that and be adorable. That being said, the procedural routine that produced the tiny sub-avatar had, as always, produced a bit of an oddity, in this case being that the teddy bear's arms were unusually large and unusually muscular, and its upper body was a bit too wide for its lower. In short, it looked like it had skipped every leg day ever to exist. The main body, and the bear steering their companion, then make their way after Jin.
