The shell struck the bridge tower of HMS Sea Beetle, crumpling its armour.

DC2 Main: 6+1+1-2+1 = 7 => 5, hit! Comproll: 9, UC2 Ammo Magazine is hit! 2 Armour Platings destroyed!
DC3 Main: 6+1+1-2+1 = 7 => 5, hit! Comproll: 12, UC5 Ammao Magazine is hit! 2 Armour Platings destroyed!

The shells landed against Kaga's portside, destroying under-deck armour but not penetrating the vulnerable ammo compartments!

Fire all available guns at the sea beetle, with the ranging in, there's a good chance of hitting despite the evasive maneuvers...

Hopefully those two 6's the sea beetle got aren't a sign of poor rolls to follow

DC7 Main: 1+1+1-2+1 = 2 < 5, miss!
DC4 Secondary: 2+1+1-2+1 = 3 < 5, miss!

The engine room on board HMS Sea Beetle was damaged, but that was the only hit by IJN Kaga's shells this time!

Yes, but you will still have an easier time hitting if you stop evasive maneuvers/slow down, You only hit once in the entire game. I guess we are lucky our ships self make ammo

If you slow down you can hit on a 5 AND a 6...  or even a 4 too if you go to quarter-speed.

Actually, if he went to normal speed, he'd hit on 4's. If he went to quarter, he hits on 3's.

I dunno how much observers can comment, cos all I wanna do is mathhammer, so I'm resisting and watching it play out :P.
