It's times like this where I wish I packed more Tertiary Batteries... But then I wouldn't have been able to assist in the takedown of Indecipherable as much... Heh. Decisions eh? I don't regret my build, I think I had a good one.

I kind of wish that there where rules for withdrawing from the field of battle. This would be the ideal time for Bone Apart and Freedom to generate smoke and sail off into the sunset at max speed.

Think really hard about shooting at the HMS Freedom some day. Dacom Structural Bulk, I guess?

I agree, there needs to be some kind of withdrawal mechanic, although I dont really see any kind that makes sense.  There's no benefit to withdrawing besides ending a forgone battle sooner

Perhaps a bunch of broken ships can withdraw and technically "win" because they suffered less losses than their opponents?

I would think preserving resources to be the reason for withdrawl; if your ship survives, you get some bonus to your budget next turn...?  For example; I am 1 ammo rack away from death, and I couldn't fire this turn.  I would have liked to retreated, but it doesnt make any sense to take 2 guns and 5 hp away from my team mates.

Maybe if you can successfully withdraw from the sea of battle that ship can come back in the next battle, giving your team a better chance to win the next time around, or maybe that team gets bonus resources for the next match.

It should probably be a multi-turn effort to withdraw.

We need a way to generate smoke to try to shield our teammates from enemy fire.

We just need to make the game more complex and difficult to run, that's all.

Seriously, though, the most we need is some way to yield when the game gets lopsided like this. 

It's 12 working guns and 45 HP vs 7 working guns and 26 HP.
