HMS Spray and Pray vs IJN Kaga:
DC3 Main: 2+1+1+1-2-2 = 1 < 5, miss!
DC1 Secondary: 4+1+1+1-2-2 = 3 < 5, miss!
DC2 Secondary: 6+1+1+1-2-2 = 5 => 5, hit! Comproll: 5, DC5 Bridge Tower is hit for 1 Damage!
DC5 Secondary: 6+1+1+1-2-2 = 5 => 5, hit! Comproll: 7, DC7 Main Battery is hit! 1 Armour Plating destroyed!

The salvo finally did some damage! One of the smaller shells blasted a hole in one of Kaga's bridge towers.

So, a little question. Ships can go Evasive for -2 modifiers, both to shoot and be shot at. Quarterspeed gives +1 to those instead. Could you also just go normal speed for no benefits/maluses?

And is rangefinding still per-ship. In which case, if PirateJoe tried to shoot at either NatureGirl or RedWolf, he'd be at -2 for the first volley anyway, correct? Brings a new question, since these shots have to be consecutive to gain the benefits, but can you fire at MULTIPLE ships in a turn and gain rangefinding stacks on all of them at once?

Well yes, you just cancel the command and its back to default 0.

Yes, his rangefinding would reset.

And yes, multiple targets do trigger multiple rangefinding.

Slow down to quarter speed. Fire all main guns at the spray and pray. Hopefully this volley is the only one I need to fire.
