Yes, research takes longer in this game. Its to prevent things from going too crazy too fast. Also I was expecting more emphasis on tile creation and new players.
There has been so little tile growth that I am wondering if this isn't so much a "world" as it is two asteroids

I'll point out I don't think we can swim.. Might want to save it, or make a tile a way aways from us so another civ can join and pray.

I'd suggest F2. The Volcano can be the center of a larger island. And give a new civ a place to settle down.

Anyone want to join the Superior Side? We have islands. And that tile made is likely to end up a big island at some point.

Time and dedication pays off, as we now know quite a bit about the Island's Dangers. Still more remains to be discovered, however.
3 Workers Scavenge F5 for food, using their Island Survival Skills in the process.
