Resting is probably a bad idea. As that guy says, it's in the water.
I say rest a couple days, unless we're very near a town or trading post where we might find working medicine. I don't remember diseases being endemic to a location (no matter what that guy says) but I do remember that pushing too hard never helps.

Increased rations might help, too, it sounds like we're not hurting for food . . . yet.

Plenty of food, it's true. Cholera itself is communicated via tainted drinking water IRL. It's edutainment!

We are quite some distance between here and the next settlement, and that's a fort. No idea what supplies might be available there.

Anyone else care to weigh in? Got about an hour left today. We might be able to trade for some medicine, but we'd have to make an initial treatment decision first.

Move on. I'm tired of waiting, it's not me, and that guy said it's in the water.

Very well.

We've increased his rations and moved on. Report pending!

>>>MINI UPDATE<<<
Spoiler: Pictured: Karma (click to show/hide)

We're on our way, and made it through a severe thunderstorm with no complication.

Estrava also has a cold, and our morale is slipping due to all of the sickness. Our health report is as follows. We continue on.

Agreed. I changed my vote accordingly

Hurrah!

Naturally we celebrated. Health is fluctuating wildly with various caravan members. Our Cholera patient seems to be recovering steadily and surely, while our cold patients are flip-flopping between "poor" and "fine".

We end our session at the oddly-named California Hill, which is very firmly planted in Nebraska.

The locals say we should use chains/ropes. I told them we keep our own, secret counsel. What say we? Everyone seems to have barely recovered from sickness by now, with Estrava spending about a week in "poor" condition.

Like, how was I the only to get cholera?

Did y’all just make me drink the stagnant pond water? “All that green stuff on the surface just means it’s full of nutrients! Like soil!”

You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.

Wait, you bought a random rope when you started out due to adventurous lore.

Do the ropes or chains!

I am of course not in your wagon so just consider this a(nother) crazy man talking from the wagon train.

Don't shoot me in the back.

We bought rope for a reason. Goddammit we're going to use it!
