Markus meanwhile, stared agape at the scene that had unfolded before him, unsure of whether to be disgusted, outraged, or devastated after another failure.
: "This is; madness, why, why would they kill everyone inside of the camp? Who would do this? Who would go this far? There were children here, poor, innocent children..."

: ...N-no, I think the time for good signs is well over.

Lucas followed Cedric, expecting now the worst.

Cedric moved between buildings and peeking inside them, but it was clear he was less searching and running around like a headless chicken.

Someone should find any clues, or better, yet, survivors.

Who shall uncover the plot!? Is there anything left than just console Cedric? Who knows~!

Lucas huffed behind Cedric, trying to keep up with his panicked pace.

: Cedric, wait! We need to think! Where would Godfried and the others go if the camp was attacked? Where would Luitgard be healing them? That's where we need to search first!

Markus tried to retain some semblance of usefulness by examining the camp a little more, trying to see if there were any tracks left behind by their attackers, secretly hoping to find something that could take his mind away from...this.

Marion was shocked by the devastation. She was no stranger to seeing violence on the small scale-otherwise the city hospitals would be smaller. But this?

"Seven above... What monster would even fathom to...?"

She goes further into the camp, hoping to find some sign of Sister Luitgard.

Even though she didn't care much at all for anyone in the camp, only really following Cedric in the hopes that she could one day beat him, Marietta was angry. She could only see bodies as far as the camp went, with nothing but dead silence. Those bastards... now she really wanted to take them down! Before, she only cared about getting stronger, but only a horrid villain would do this! There were children here, as Markus said! A villain like that deserved to be struck down...!

Angry with everything and everyone in the world, Marietta hurried back to the gate and yelled out in a quick burst of potentially foolish anger, drawing her sword and quickly forgetting that she was still somewhat wounded.

"You fucking cowards! I hope you all remember what you did here today, because don't come crying to your mommies when I slowly cut you to pieces! You deserve punishment, every last one of you! Come on out if you're all so cool that you'd resort to murdering innocents! COME ON OUT AND FIGHT ME!"

Very quickly, Markus found tracks of many hooves in the wet ground, leading toward the other, smaller gate, which led northwards. In that direction, few hours away, lie farmlands of Lufin and the town itself.

@Marion:

Marion did not find Sister Luitgard anywhere - neither her, or her body at least. Considering that all other rebels were left where they died, there was a slimmer of hope...

Then, Marion almost got bumped onto by a small, smelly, bearded man in a hooded cloak. He was dragging with him a large bag, and a knife glimmered in his hands. Seeing Marion, he let something resembling an wheezing gasp.

Startled, he turned around and started running away! Only to end in front of bloodthirsty Marietta.

"You no hurt Hans! Hans did nothing! Hans here only for food!" The hobo howled, and turned to run away from Marietta as well.

As if it were mere instinct, Marietta darted to the hobo named Hans. She grabbed him by the wrist that held his knife with one hand and tightened her grip as to make sure he couldn't swing his knife. With her other hand that held her rapier, she held the sword close to his neck.

"Like hell you are," Marietta snarled as she pressed her rapier close to Hans, mostly keeping an eye on the knife in case he tried anything funny with it. "If Hans really did nothing and you don't want Hans to get chopped into bits, then drop the knife and tell me what the fuck happened here! Be quick about it, goddammit, I'm not a patient girl right now!"

Markus's eyes perked up quickly enough as he saw the tracks leading towards the northern gate, causing him to ignore Marieta and the rest as he hurriedly rush towards Cedric and the rest to say.
: "Your majesty! I have found horse tracks leading towards the northern gate! Perhaps the attackers, or any survivors would have headed that way, I believe there was a farming town called Lufin in that direction, it would be a logical place for anyone looking to resupply or regroup to head towards."

Orietta catches up to Marietta, legging it behind her.
"Wait! Wait! We need to know what happened! Don't kill him!"

Don't process the horror right now. Don't. Not yet. There was time later. That's how her mom dealt with it, right?

"H. . . How. . ." Sylvianne whispered, stunned into near silence. How could this happen? They hadn't even left the encampment for that long. She looked with horror at the twisted corpses of the young and elderly, before the commotion shook her out of her trance. The mage slid the faceplate of her mask into place before proceeding. She left the strange man for the rest to deal with, and walked deliberately toward the interior of the fort, taking slow, measured steps even as she avoided treading on the fallen.

"I'll check inside." she said, with a shaky calm she didn't really possess in actuality. Stay strong for Cedric. . .

@Luckus:

Cedric walked back and forth for a moment and then looked at Lucas. When Markus brought in new info, the youth gasped.

"I don't know... I don't..."

@Hobointerceptors:

The bearded vagabond howled when Marietta poked him with the blade.

"Hans duns know anything, Hans just wants food, dun hurt Hans, dunhurtHansdunknowsanythingpleasedunhurt!" He began to bawl about.

@Sylvianne:

As if guided by an (un)lucky star, Sylvianne stepped into a small room inside the old keep that was used as meat storage, where rebels dried their foodstuffs.

In a pool of blood, Master Godfried laid, still and unmoving.

Then, he turned his head! He reached with his hand, mumbling something toward Sylvianne.

[Solymr]

: Let's go back with the rest, maybe they found something that we've skipped over.

Lucas brought Cedric back to the scene with the others doing who knows what.

Marietta did not look happy with Hans' answer, but Orietta managed to chill her out. Just slightly.

"What do you suggest we do, then? He clearly has nothing of value to say to us."

She understood if she shouldn't kill him, but the reality that he might be trying to trick them...
