Okay, we don't really have much in the way of spare production points, so this is to going to mainly be juggling units around.

ITC-05 "Prime Mover" moves from Bravo to Foxtrot then transfers two Dozers to the BMUs on ITC-02-LIFT "Trade Surplus"
ITC-02-LIFT "Trade Surplus" Moves from Delta to Echo, picks up BMU-6 and BMU-7, then moves to Foxtrot and receives a pair of Dozers from ITC-05 "Prime Mover"

ITC-02-LIFT "Trade Surplus" and ITC-05 "Prime Mover" deploys troops to Foxtrot

Logos-06-TDC "No More Mr Nice Guy", Logos-07-TDC "Gunboat Diplomat" and Logos-08-TDC "Of Course I Still Love You" move from Charlie to Delta and interdict all Technate ships
Logos-03-TDC "Uninvited Guest", Logos-04-TDC "Attitude Adjuster" and Logos-05-TDC "Zero Credibility" holds psotion at Foxtrot and interdicts all Technate ships

ITC-01-LIFT "Cargo Cult" continues to support troop movement

Turn 6 Combat Phase: The Network

We now control Planet D and will receive its 4 GPP and 2 SPP starting this turn. Make good on our advances, the enemy is sure to reply swiftly.

The loss of ITC-02-LIFT "Trade Surplus" by sending it to collect troops from a planet which we knew had had hostile warships around it the previous season, without escort, is a dramatic reminder of the price of ill-informed strategic moves.

Sorry for the lack of apparent effort in the team thread, I'll add any necessary details later, but for now I want to get the turn out and beg people to double-check the logistics numbers because I'm having persistent gremlins pop up on both sides and I'm having serious issues tracking them down.

----
Another design phase, and as ever you have TWO designs. Have you considered larger combat ships?

Since I'm pretty sure somebody else is working on a capital ship, I went in a different direction.  Yeah, it's an infrastructure design, but it also sets up the groundwork for more aggressive bitform (nanite) use.

Quote from: Design: Autonomous Nanoscale Terrestrial Scavengers (ANTS)
The planets are rich in raw resources, if only they weren't so difficult to get to our industrial facilities.  It's time to take the leash off our bitforms and put them to work in the field.
Modeled in behavior much like their namesake, ANTS are a self-replicating "colony" designed to seek and gather designated solid elements or compounds.  Their nano-scale allows them to identify and collect dust and other particulate matter that eludes conventional systems.  They have limited excavation means, but excel at climbing, navigating small apertures, and building 'trails' to convey a stream of resources to a designated container.  For our industries, the payoff is a container of homogeneous material that was steadily filled by a trail of ANTS through a peephole-sized aperture.
While designed mostly for combing the airless Planet Alpha for useful metals, they can also be used to extract the last bit of an otherwise exhausted mine or a thorough industrial cleanup.  Accordingly, we expect ANTS will be a tremendous benefit to our industries.

Now that all our cheap upgrades have been applied, we are in pretty good shape (other than getting driven back off of Foxtrot, although that's just cos we only got one third of our intended invasion force to the planet), so I'm inclined to follow Command's suggestion and design a larger warship.

Quote from: Space Superiority Ship, Mk1, 'Peitho'
The Peitho is a large warship, similar in size to the Hephaestus, but keeping the same hexagonal prism shape of the Logos. It is built for seizing hostile orbits, and thus includes redundant power connections, reserve Bitform storage and has an integral Thermal Defence Citadel. The Command Center, Life support, Twin Tokamak-Plasma Drives and the main ammunition storage are secured in a central Citadel near the back of the vessel, with additional sub-citadels for the turrets, plus armoured supply corridors to provide ammo, power and crew access. The non-critical sections of the ship, such as the  habitation sections will have a minimum amount of armouring, as Crew Units will not be present in these sections during combat operation.

The ship comes with the same array of Infrared and Electromagnetic sensors, with a built-in Art3mis Targeting Computer connected to the secondary battery of six R-5 Shrapnel Cannons (distributed evenly fore and aft, one on each of the six long faces), and the primary battery of three R-4 Railgun double Turrets (placed evenly around the center of the ship). The Shrapnel Cannons should allow the ship to provide ample point defense for any fleet it is part of, maximising the use of the R-4's for capital ship fire.

We are aiming for this ship to cost 4 SSP.

Quote from: Advanced Military Unit - 'Kakaktitis'
Our current Military Units (the 'Politofylaki') are mainly repurposed service frames and old unification era models. Whilst they perform their roles admirably, a new combat unit for this modern age of warfare is required. Eack Kakaktitis battle frame has a compound armour of ceramics, carbon composite and titanium to maximise durability, whilst maintaining the same humanoid silhouette of a Basic Unit, to reduce specific targeting of combat elements. The frames are also put through a myriad of combat simulations, derived from our previous experience in combat during unification and the more recent battles with the Technate.

Quote from:  'Hephaestus' Asteroid Miner mod
Based upon the Hephaestus, the internals of the ship are modified to allow it to consume whole asteroids, grind the whole thing down and smelt the resultant gravel into ingots of various industrial materials. When the target asteroid is too large, it will simply limpet against it and grind off chunks of it to be processed.

I might be that somebody else. I also went overboard with two other proposals, one more of a revision.
