Ach, that tech-outside-the-spoiler thing is indeed a typo on my part. I'll just go edit that out, and look into research costs for housing...  ::)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
1 worker researches Aprilmitive Toolmaking
2 workers pray to Pyro
1 worker forages at D3
1 worker researches Fishing

I offer to further improve the food on your tile if you focus on foraging instead of fishing.

Wait, fishing can be researched right from the get go?
I planned to go tool use to wood gathering, wood gathering to boats, boats to fishing

If it can’t be researched from the get go, this next turn will tell the prerequisites, can we get a research tree to know prerequisites?

I guess shallow water fishing is simpler than deep water fishing, and boats have other uses
(Read: Viking Doggos)
That would allow us to attack the Enemies of water without fear of retribution
And fish further tiles.
Speaking of, Flare, mind making an adjacent archipelago?

I know. If you want to research foraging later, my offer will still stand.

Settle at E3
2 workers Forage
3 workers research "Kelp Farming"

Root appears to the tribespeople as a great tortoise. Greetings! I am Root, the forager's friend, and I have an offer for you: if you worship me by gathering food only from the untamed earth and sea, I will fill your homeland with any food source you desire.

((Edited for more flavor))

(Pavellius, I recommend roleplaying a bit more when making these offers. Maybe explain in your god's words the evils of farming and the virtue of foraging or something? I dunno. Its more fun that way. Plus, the GM encouraged roleplaying on the turn 1 post.)

websim.ai is coming dangerously close to being able to run Gridhood. Maybe I'll live to see the day if I exercise, eat right, and somehow convince the world's governments not to nuke everyone.

Make a Way to get off the island, and I'll make a tile for you to go to. I'm still kinda annoyed a worker didn't do anything last turn.

I thought I put the last worker praying, but apparently not.

Flare, God of Water, sighs as the tides turn. She then blesses the Worker who didn't do anything with Inspiration to Research something.

Is this a god action, or just a roleplay thing?

So, if the inspired worker does research this turn, would it do slightly better than a non inspired worker?

Root smiles upon the Confederation of Deer. From the hills of b5 sprout squash, mushrooms, and berry bushes.

((Superdorf, since I had 6 FP last turn, spent 4, and gained 10, I should have 12 now))

Aroth Rimtar creates a bamboo forest at b5.

He smiled to see civilizations bloom, the seeds of mighty buildings laying down roots in fertile soil. Soon they would seek the sun and then the real fun would begin.
