The Federate of Om emerges into the waters of C3.
Aspect: Farmer
Boon: Amphibious
Bane: Strictly Herbivorous

Quote from: New Beginnings
A creature pops into reality in the midst of a shallow sea. It is a mottled green, bipedal with long and broad feet, and having both arms and fins. It blinks with wide eyes and nictitating lenses. Soon, four more appear. Together, they surface to the sounds of crashing waves. "Om", one speaks. The others respond in turn, "Om", before diving once more.

Om. Together.

Quote from: Taste
An Omian swims through the sun-dappled water with grace and speed, enjoying the feeling of rushing through the sea. It stops for a second, as its stomach shudders with unpleasant energy. The Omian sights an odd stalk rising from the seabed, green and scintillating under the light. It swims up, examining the stalk from every side. Its stomach shudders again, and the Omian seems to make a decision. In the blink of an eye, there is a bite taken out of the stalk.

The Omian mulls over the flavor of it, and how it seems to make the shuddering in its stomach lessen. 'Good', it thinks. 'More'.

That's some absolutely delightful flavor-text you've got there, but, um... C-3 is taken already by the Dog Empire. Unless Dog Empire changes its mind, you're going to have to take A-1, B-4, or wait a couple turns for another tile to start on.  :-\

Everyone: The title right now is kinda... lacking. I'm trying to tinker with it, and I could use some suggestions. Thoughts?

How about: Gridhood Dorfy Edition
Edit: Maybe send out a PM to the players. Just in case they don't recognize the thread with a new name. Though on the other hand I guess most of the players would immediately jump when they saw a thread with Gridhood in the name.

websim.ai is coming dangerously close to being able to run Gridhood. Maybe I'll live to see the day if I exercise, eat right, and somehow convince the world's governments not to nuke everyone.

Well, we've got all the civs but Om, and I'm thinking Om needs more tiles to get properly started. It's time for a turn.

Turn 2

From the dark crevices of D-3, the Olan Reg emerge.
2 workers forage at D-3. The land is sparse; they bring back a meagre 3 units of food, and were lucky to find that much...
3 workers pray to Pyro for aid. Pyro gains 3 FP.

In the trackless jungles of D-5, the Igwam Tribe ekes out its living.
2 Igwam workers venture into the jungles of D-5 for food, but luck and their own ineptitude is against them; they find a mere 3 units of food.
Deeming the efforts of their brethren insufficient, the 3 remaining Igwam workers make their own journeys into the forest, seeking through careful taste and keen deduction to discover new kinds of foodstuff. +5 towards completion of the Foraging tech.

In the grand island home of C-3, the Dog Empire wakes.
2 workers forage at C-3, bringing back 7 units of food! The land is bountiful, the dog-people industrious! (Root gains 2 FP)
3 workers pray to Flare in thanksgiving. Flare gains 3 FP.

Over the gentle hills of B-4, the Confederation of Deer wanders.
3 workers forage at B-4, bringing back 6 units of food-- well enough to see them through the year. (Root gains 2 FP)
2 particularly farsighted workers, realizing that the land's bounty cannot last forever, begin to experiment with the cultivation of emmer grasses. They learn a thing or two, but quickly realize that they'll need tools of some kind to prepare the ground with! +1 towards completion of the Farming tech. Further research locked; needs Primitive Toolmaking.

Pyro creates Fiery Berries at D3, adding the [Plentiful Food] modifier to the otherwise-barren land. -2 FP

He then creates a Scorched Desert at E5. -3 FP

Mm... I'm gonna say 5 FP for the basic recycler bell, and 1 extra FP for every 20'-radius of AOE.
