Then I attack Crippled Genius with my Squirrel, for 1 damage.

Actually, it's pretty early in game, think we should count it as end of my turn only right now? That'll saw off two stars from my turn and have me at 4. Much more in line.
 I always thought it was a little annoying having to account for my opponent's end of turn anyway and I'd still favor them being very tough.

That Painter is a neat combo card!

So I draw a card, up to 7. Then I play Magpie. Note that at the start of each of your turns, you'll have to give me a card or Magpie will gain attack.

Then I destroy the Crippled Genius with my Squirrel, and attack a Scavenger Bot with my Crow for 2 damage.

Then I end my turn.

So I draw a card, up to 8 (having happily received a Quick Thinking). This could well be the ticket! But in case it's not... I play a Biodiversity, which allows me to play two more cards.

I roll a 5 and a 6, giving me an extra star and allowing me to play another card this turn. So I still have two cards to play.

First I play another Squirrel, playing an acorn face down. I was saving it for when I had more rabbits to play alongside it, but as I have the free play, I'll then play a Rabbit. Then I'll flip over an Acorn and spend my two stars swapping it for Oak Tree!

Then I'll attack the Happy Painter with the Crow and the Magpie (2 damage each), destroying it. Then I'll attack the injured Scavenger Bot with my slightly beefed up Squirrel, dealing 2 damage.

Finally, the Oak Tree drops a face-up acorn. Note that it will do that at the end of each of your turns, and the Magpie tax is still in effect.
