Bio: Alicia Skye is a noble of the Skye Family, known to sponsor a wide variety of Pegasus breeders across the nation. While seeing Tatalia's Pegasus population remains profitable, they are at heart a merchant family. Raised on stories of their Tatalia's rich history, and their ties to one of the founding Seven Sisters, Alicia wanted to become a Cleric and bring Prosperity to Tatalia and the family name. While this has proven fairly difficult for her, she's pushed through most objections to do so.

Of age, she decided to oversee her family's assets in the Kingdom of Inselkonige, with her family's blessings. Recently however, word has reached her of a claimant to the throne of Herzgottia. Sending word to her parents of her decision to see about this, she received a reply telling her they had also heard of it, and not to go running off.

Needless to say, she didn't listen for long. She made sure all the record keeping was in order, and went on a Pilgrimage to ascertain these rumors for herself. After all, an improved relation with the face behind Angeborten rulership could only serve her Tatalian interests, and binding the two countries together would be helpful.

Effectively, the most headstrong Cleric in existence, going off to see her family proud, even if they want to keep her away from danger. Not like many would dare harm a Cleric of the Seven Sisters.

Bio: The third son of House Bouwman, a family of minor nobility, Rowan grew up as a man with a deep connection to the Pegasi said family breed for the Angeborten kingdom. When he was younger, he was part of then-Princess Sophia's escort, a position of great honor for him. For Rowan, it was already decided that he will serve with excellence and secure a position as a member of the Royal Guard.

Fate had different plans for him.

After the rise of the first Consort, his family managed to get their hands on the infant son of Her Majesty, Queen Sophia, protecting him as long as they could. But as a house of limited influence and in secret opposition of the Consorts, it was impossible to ensure his protection for long. Rowan was entrusted with bringing the infant across the border to the Kingdom of Tatalia.
Then, having made sure that the infant would be safe for long enough that way, Rowan returned to the Kingdom of Angeborten, but the experiences of these past few years lingered on his mind, ravaged his soul. He couldn't stand still, must be in action as long as Her Majesty was a simple puppet for the Consorts. But there's nothing he could do for now and the devastating result of the Berg-Boore revolution made him anxious. In fact, the deck was heavily stacked against his family. It would only be a matter of time before the Consorts would be able to trace the infant Prince back to his family and if that happens, it would get ugly pretty fast.

As such, Rowan cut his ties with the Bouwman family. He left his trusted Pegasus, Palewing, behind at the family's property and instructed that he should be treated as exiled and disgraced. The house should uphold the lie that it was Rowan's idea alone to abduct the infant Prince and the family would have no idea where Rowan, or the Prince, was. Many tears were shed on that day, but it was something Rowan was adamant about. At least once in his life, he wanted to successfully protect someone important to him.

The years passed and Rowan Bouwman, taking the alias of "Fyord", has made a name for himself in the local region. Doing the usual mercenary jobs and earning the reputation of never backing down on any challenge he accepted, the people who know him started to call him "Fyord The Tenacious". In the village that now serves as his home, he also takes care of the youth there, teaching them basic combat with wooden weapons and having a seemingly infinite supply of sweets to reward their progress. There, he was simply "Old Man Fyord" for the children.

But now, his half-forgotten past caught up on him, and he will be serving von Sachsen once more...

Bio: Being the child of a Gallian and a Norgemarkian, Chaunce Bellamy is a man who has seen a number of places in his life. For the most part, his family kept mostly to themselves when he was a child, and only a few years ago was he allowed much more freedom of a path in his life. So he had planned to become a wyvern rider once he was of the age to, except there was a bit of a problem involved.

"...Alright, uh... How's a man supposed to ride this?" And the problem was he had no idea what he was doing in the slightest.

Chaunce knew that Norgemark had loads of wyverns, but getting the knowledge and ability to be able to ride one was another sort of thing entirely. He definitely had the power to, he knew that much from how much lifting and moving things he had to do, but the ability was something else entirely. Though it wasn't the cheapest thing in the world or the easiest thing to do, being incredibly adamant about the whole concept eventually netted him a tutor to get the basic know-how that a rider would need. Even with a bit of a concern about safety, and with the concern about heights, he managed to at least get something done and figure out how wyvern riding worked.

...Except now he's back at square two rather than something like fifteen because he didn't know how to use lances on it. So back to learning the lance it was. That was a few years ago now, actually. With potential for a fight on the horizon, and even a risk of being involved, he's got enough down that he's curious enough to actually try his hand at fighting this time. Sure, he doesn't quite know what it's all gonna be about, but with enough money to be thrown about, he can probably be convinced one way or the other.

Bio: Joram's father, Josiah Jolyon, was once a respected member of the noble community. However, he was a member of the early failed revolts that aimed to free the rightful Queen Sophia and restore the throne to her. Obviously, this attempt ended in failure. The ancestral Jolyon home was burned down in response, and Josiah and Joram barely escaped with their lives, while the rest of their family perished. Josiah was badly burned rescuing Joram, but the two were taken in by a small family living on the outskirts of a nearby city. They hid Josiah and Joram from the soldiers of the state, and over the years the two built a new life. Josiah was a proud man, but prudent, and unafraid of hard work, and created a life for the two of them as a woodcutter. Joram, however, was unwilling to release his hold on his old life, and constantly endangered them by stealing from the soldiers, speaking out against the consort, and generally causing trouble. Through sheer luck and willingness of Josiah to prostrate himself to protect his foolish son, the two managed to evade the ire of the state, and Joram's hot head cooled. His desire to take back what he considered to be his rightful place never did. And now, with a new rebellion lead by a cousin of the Queen rising, Joram has his chance.

Bio: Marion's family were minor landowners who established themselves as loyalists to the First Consort Dermaut in the aftermath of the Berg-Boore Revolt. For their loyalty, they were rewarded with increased lands adjoining their own and used them to make a lucrative profit from the herb trade. Eventually, they relocated the family base to the capital so as to be closer to the political nexus. Out of practicality, they developed ties with the Seven Sisters, who oversaw the herb trade and production of medicine. However, this burgeoning rise was cut short by the murder of Dermaut by his guard captain. While they faced no violence in the aftermath of the coup, being known as supporters of the old First Consort was not good for business and the Casiers were left treading water.

 After several years of stagnation and failed attempts at gaining the favor of the new authorities, the family elders decided to abandon politics and instead cultivate the relationship with the Seven Sisters. The business relationship already existed, but a show of further commitment was needed. Marion, still a child, would be strongly encouraged to join the ranks of the Sisters when she came of age. Not only would this signify her family's faithfulness and commitment, but it was also hoped that, if she rose, she would be a sympathetic ear on the inside.

 Marion herself was largely apathetic about the plan. As a child, she had loved reading about great heroes of old, but it became clear that that would not be an option for her. Her family was one of merchants and absentee country landlords; they had no tradition of military service for her to follow. And in any case, the cutthroat politics of the Consorts were no place to gain honorable military glory. With that path closed off, she went through her education without any real idea of her future.
When her family suggested that she join the Sisters, they found little resistance to the idea. It seemed as good as any other.
 
 So, when she was old enough, Marion dutifully took the vows and was trained as a healer. But her early service was defined by a lack of purpose; she had joined at the will of her family before any other reason. She might have spent her service drifting listlessly through the lower echelons of the Sisterhood, but by chance she encountered some of the remaining royalists and set her path to a different course. The various Consorts had bribed the leadership of the Seven Sisters to support them, but some of the mothers and sisters still remained loyal to Sophia. Despite the fact that her family had at one point been beneficiaries of the Consorts' rule, Marion was enthralled by the tales they told of the good rule of the old monarchy, before the coups and the oppression. Soon, she was a committed member of the group, and found herself asking to join the the resistance fighters in the field. Eventually, as she performed better and better at her duties, they agreed, and with their blessing Marion slipped away in the night to help restore the queen.

Bio:
Third and youngest child and second daughter of Tatalian minor nobility, Grietje was intended from birth to follow in the steps of her equestrian ancestors who had long ago earned their surname and nobility through feats of arms. Though the same was expected of her elder siblings, their higher positions in succession meant they had other priorities while Grietje was often allowed to dedicate herself almost entirely to training. She became the most skilled rider of the three of them, even as she began to realize that her true interests lay somewhere else.

Due to their status as a vassal house of Vuckerbecke, Grietje was sent early in her childhood to the count's court, where she grew familiar with the count and his family as well as became good friends with Cedric, one of the count's wards. She was eventually appointed as a retainer to the count's family, which both served as a political advantage for her own family as well as a still relatively safe position for her as a spare should anything happen to her brother and sister.

Grietje is a natural optimist and a bit of a naive idealist, but serves to the best of her ability and has good instincts in combat despite her inexperience. Lately she has been somewhat restless given the happenings in the court, wondering if she wants more from life than being a retainer and likely eventually receiving a carefully arranged marriage of her own.

The van den Borre family was once powerful and prosperous, a close ally of the royal family.

That alliance led them to bloody rebellion, to rescue the Princess from her cage. It led them to defeat. The family hold lies empty and ruined; the forges are cold and ash-filled. Pompous strangers oversee the fields that were once theirs.

Eloïse wasn't born in the glory days of her family, before the fall. She's grown up with an empty belly, filled with little more than stories of what used to be; of the family she lost in battle before she could know them, of the rightful place they should hold. Her grandfather, the first to fall in the Revolt. Her own father, Ruben, slain before he ever knew he would be a parent. Great uncle Pieter. Aunt Melissa. Cousins Emiel, Kathleen, Hanne, Pascal, Hadrien.

Her aunt, Priscilla, the last to fall, at the gates of the Palace itself, mere metres away from Dermaut.

Deep in the Copper Mountains, the tattered remnants of the van den Borres live on, their hearts bitter and armour rusting, little more than bandits, now. For twenty years, they have lurked in the deep forests and dark caves of their ancestral mountains, only emerging to conduct quick raids and lightning strikes. Forces sent to hunt them down disappear or find nothing, but the van den Borres also pose no true threat to the current regime as they are. Thus, a stalemate has emerged: the Borres aren't worth the cost of hunting down in truth, but lack the power to reconquer what they lost.

They've heard of this new pretender to the throne, but once bitten, twice shy; they won't commit their diminished forces to a final fight they think they might lose. Thus comes Eloïse: clad in a battered, horned helm, she's come to see if there's anything to this Cedric, or if his bones will join those other rebels mouldering in the ground.
