Turn 16

The Ironbeards
You gain 4 bars of lead and 2 bars of silver from smelting down the galena recieving a total of 28☼ from the sale.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Copperbacks to keep the mines running you are able to mine in the second shaft:
6kg of Lignite
4 rough banded agate

Copperbacks

Trading is brisk in the Fortress and all thanks to the Copperbacks...something that is not forgotten by the Fortress. (no effect for now...)
6 Sapphires for 1200☼
1 Large Finely-Crafted Sapphire for 1200☼
7 Picture Jaspers for 105☼
4 Banded Agates for 40☼
1 Large Finely-Crafter Banded Agate for 60☼
1 Claro Opal for 100☼
30 Bars of Coke for 60☼
8 Bars of Iron for 80☼
______________________
Total: 2845☼
Costs: 135☼

Of course such a haul not only increases your influence but also brings even more families to your rapidly growing clan.
But that is only the mercantile operations of your clan.
Deep below the Fortress the majority of the clan gets to manual labor.
5 Sapphires
3 Lace Agate
10 Banded Agate

As you mine out the Banded Agate cluster your miners find themselves finding a series of new gem deposits!
Namely a Cluster of Schorl and a Cluster of Carnelian.

Turns out the new Shaft leads to a layer of Rock Salt.
What you find causes an absolute riot to break out.
You find a massive vein of Magnetite punctuated by two veins of native platinum!

((seriously what the fuck man. This kind of luck is illegal.))

The Youngbloods

You find a deposit of Hematite! There only be Hematite in yonder hills.

I don't think I ever PTW this, but I have been watching it...I suppose I'll PTW now and just say its not illegal until you roll a 96 or higher on a d100 for over 100+ rolls and only have 12 rolls below 96 for one specific character in a rp... Yes that actually happened and yes I lost a bit of my will to live when it did happen...

However you pay 50☼ for refining.

You mine 4kg of Gold and 3kg of Platinum

Copperbacks
You sell the 5 Sapphires for a 1000☼
the 3 Lace Agate for 30☼ and
9 Banded Agate for 90☼
1 large exceptional Banded Agate for 50☼
Refining Costs 90☼

Already the Native Platinum Vein is throwing off some influence for you you gain some 15 Influence.

Mining Results:
9kg Lignite
2 Sapphires
4 Lace Agate
9kg Lignite
1 Claro Opal
5kg Galena
4kg Platinum
7kg Platinum

You unfortunately mine out the public Platinum vein, while also discoverign three new deposits of gems!

Ultimately your miners dig deeper, the Rock Salt layer already ends!
You hit instead the Metamorphic Layer composed of Phyllite.

The Youngbloods

You dig deeper

Reduced logging means coke's value goes up. Not reducing logging I guess keeps capacity where it is/increases it. I'd want the former if I had ANY REAL INFLUENCE DAMNIT!
Also, Yungbloods should have gotten influence from me mining their gold. And, damnit, stop giving Kashyyk the loaded dice!!!

Clan Ironbeard

Refine the gold and platinum and sell.

Both miners mine the gold.

Turn 18

The Ironbeards

You make 480☼  from the Gold and the same amount from the Platinum for a whopping 960☼. Costs ramp up to some 35☼

You send your miners back to get more gold, when a breakthrough at one part of the vein opens the entrance to a cave...seconds later poisoned darts begin shooting out of the opening followed by amphibian men charging your miners!

Only one of your groups of miners escapes. Luckily for now they only guard the gold vein. Unfortunately due to your losses no new families want to join you.

YOU DUG TOO DEEP!

Copperbacks

90 Bars of Coal. 180☼
1 Sapphire 200☼
1 Large Masterful Sapphire 4.800☼ (...wat...)
4 Lace Agate 40☼
1 Claro Opal 100☼
20 bars of Lead 40☼
10 Bars of Silver 100☼
44 Bars of Platinum 1.760☼
Total:7220☼
Refining: 200☼

Mining Results:
5kg Lignite - you mine out the Vein!
1 Sapphire - you mine out the cluster!
7 Lace Agate
1kg Lignite
3 Amethysts
8 Claro Opals
7kg Galena
8kg Platinum

_____

Prospecting:
1 Lignite Vein
1 Sphalerite Vein

The vast wealth you bring home elevates your Clan to new heights as more and more people flock to it. You are now able to raise a Squad of Clan Warriors. These are Inferior to the Kingdoms Soldiers or Mercenaries, but can gain experience and are utterly free.

The Youngbloods

You discover a Vein of Cobaltite.

EVENT:

Mineshaft 3 has become completely inaccessible as the Amphibian men swarm all over the Mineshaft.
The Snakemen seem to grow more agitated as of late, speculation are that a lack of trade is at fault.

The Negotations with the Elves are decidedly leaning towards the meek acceptance of the logging restrictions. (20 vs. 0)

GM Notes:
Well then, that took a bit longer than anticipated. Anyway as usual if you find mistakes just mention them, the turn posts are getting larger by the minute and with it the possibility that i miss stuff.

Clan Military
Yep as your clan grows in influence and wealth you also grow in the ability to project power. In this Case Clan Warriors. These are made up from Families of your Clan and are superior to drafting your own miners but inferior to the Deepmires professional soldiery. They are also inferior to mercenaries. However they are free (except for the families used up in such a manner) and can gain experience over battles.

In regards to Families and Loss replenishment
I may have stated otherwise previously but to make family losses a wee bit more grievous, i decided that families no logner automatically replenish, you actually need to produce more wealth to prove to potential inlaws that you are still a horse one wishes to hitch his wagon to.

Public claims need to be updated cos they still retain veins/clusters that are mined out. Other than that, man I got screwed XD Was reading going 'this is fine, the new wealth will mean I'll still atleast have two families.' The last line crushed me, aaaaaaaah!
Do I even ask if I was lucky to get a family out, alive and still be in this at all? :P

Clan Ironbeard
