Operational Status Report, February 2020
Vatican City OperationsAfter poring over our employee rosters, deployment plans, and paperwork rolling back to the foundation of the OKB a few months back, we were able to confirm a use of food, supplies, and facilities that lined up with a full complement of agents. Considering the nature of the reports in Vatican City, we dedicated efforts to locating this mysterious "Third Agent".
Unfortunately, when you have no idea who or what you're looking for, it's difficult to follow a trail. Thankfully there were two other agents around when the third disappeared, even if they had difficulty trying to remember it. Thorough questioning by the newly-arrived agent revealed that they
did have vague recollection of trying to contact this anomaly. They described the memory more as a fuzzy, cloudy dream, where the harder they tried to recall it the more it slipped from their grasp. One of the agents vaguely recalled seeing his father in the room, who we were able to confirm is still alive and well on the family farm. The agent described his father as someone who he could always rely on, and that in no way could be the entity itself.
When attempting to contact this entity, the agents both recall having a turn at wanting to vanish, but to no avail. It wasn't until the Third Agent tried that things went...odd. Neither knows exactly why the Third Agent managed to trigger the anomaly, but they did.
A second team was deployed to identify and interfere with competing investigations. They were able to identify a trio of investigators and, eventually, their safehouse in an expensive-looking hotel. The trio observed this group come into contact with the same Aunt we'd questioned last month. They were posing as Church-sanctioned exorcists and met with her on a regular basis. During one of their meetings out the team broke into the safehouse (after determining none of those pesky drones were afoot) and went about coating a number of surfaces in
Veteran agent. Unfortunately their op went sideways during exfiltration.
Shots rung out from a doorway down the hall, striking one agent multiple times and forcing the other two to take cover. The assailant, someone in civilian clothing, popped out with a handgun and opened fire on the scrambling agents. One took cover in the rival safehouse, where he noticed a peculiar black metal ball, not unlike a miniature Magic 8-ball, glass lens and all, glaring at him from it's perch in the corner above the doorway. Unfortunately at this point the investigation had yet to identify the underlying cause for triggering the anomaly, and so the agents were following orders to avoid engaging in conflict. A fire escape in the rival safehouse provided one agent the means to escape unscathed, though the third infiltrating agent caught a bullet in the ribs trying to cross back through the hallway to follow his compatriot and details of his fate remain unknown.
As you know, near the end of the month we responded to a security breach at the perimeter of our facility here. The person in question claims to be our missing agent and has knowledge befitting an OKB field agent. He is currently sedated in one of our holding cells.
You currently have a few leads to follow up on for the next Deployment Phase, however you can opt for a general investigation, or perhaps look into something else entirely that caught your eye - if you plan on being investigative. Remember to revisit previous reports for more potential threads to follow up on.
Interrogate the "Third Agent"Hong Kong OperationsFirst, the good news. There are no reports of any further investigative interference in regards to the anomaly past that of local law enforcement. It seems as though we scared off whoever had set up the parallel operation there.
Our investigation into the anomaly proved to be a limited success. Without much to go off of, the agent with blood type A+ was sent out to walk the street at random times for varying lengths in a variety of different areas within Causeway Bay. It wasn't until late in the month when something happened. The agent was kept in constant contact with the rest of the team and during a walk just past midnight. We've included a transcript of the communications below:
Bait Agent: One of these nights I'm going to be mugged, you guys know this, right?
Handler Agent: Calm down, man. You've been fine so far. And besides, you're telling me a street thug is going to be capable of taking you on?
BA: Eh, I guess you're right. I suppose I would be able to ki-
BA cuts out for a moment.
HA: Hey, you there? Something wrong?
BA: Yeah, no, it's fine. Street lights just flipped off. Buildings too.
HA: We're fine over here. I guess we've got to scrub tonight's op.
BA: I can't see shit out here anyway.
HA: Let the moon light your way. (HA chuckles)
BA: There's (static) moon (static), you shi...what's (static) smell?
HA: You're breaking up. We've lost visual on you, just turn back. We can try again tomorrow.
BA: No, it's (static), I can (static) fine. But what (static) that smell?
HA: Ignore the smell, man. Just RTB.
BA: No, I definitely (static) find this (static).
For a few moments HA tries to contact BA, with no response until:
HA: Damn it, answer me! (HA's voice becomes distant as they speak to someone else in the room) We need our response team to find him, now.
BA: (an echo accompanies their voice) Hello? No, it's (static), I'm fine. I think (static) the source (static) odor.
HA: Fuck the fucking odor, you need to get out of there. Something's wrong.
BA: I...what the (static) that thing? Shit! It's (static) me! Fuck!
Rapid footsteps can be heard as well as heavy breathing from BA. An unsettling consistent whine in the background rapidly becomes louder.
BA: Can't (static) face! (static) claws! It fucking (static)! It's AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
The recording ends with static.
Our agents were unable to recover the bait agent, and the only thing of note they uncovered when trying to locate him was an open manhole into the sewage system.

Investigate the Sewers----------------
Once again, due to the lack of Contained Anomalies no experimentation can be done. That means I'm cramming the Information Phase's world info here but we're technically entering the Design Phase. In the future this will be when you decide on experiments and stuff like that.
There are currently no updates in regards to the Chilean anomaly.

IT IS NOW THE DESIGN PHASE.Field Agents: 11/15
Security Personnel: 5/5
Researchers: 4
Class-D Personnel: 4
Ratnik Combat Uniform: Russia's latest advancement in infantry equipment. The helmet includes a headset to facilitate communications as well as an eye monitor with thermal, monocular night vision, and flashlight capabilities. A handheld computer allows squad leaders to see the locations of their men in real time thanks to an integrated nav system. Each soldier also has a smaller device for receiving orders, images, and video from the squad leader. The body armor weighs 7.5kg and can reliably stop 7.62x39mm rounds.
GSh-18 Handgun: The GSh-18 is a semiautomatic 9mm handgun with a capacity of 18+1 rounds. It's easy to maintain (containing only 17 parts), and is designed to be able to fire high-velocity ammunition.
AK-12 Assault Rifle: An automatic rifle chambered for 5.45x39mm ammunition with a 30-round capacity. The AK-12 is very accurate and reliable, and can hit a fire rate of 700 RPM with a maximum firing range of 800 meters.
Veteran Paralytic Agent: A nerve agent that causes rapid paralysis with only a minor chance of death. Tacky, colorless, and smells like honeysuckle. Easily cleaned away when necessary.
Veteran Tactical Dispersion Canister: A device the size of a soda can with an internal section that pops outward and uses compressed air to spray the Veteran agent around it. Unpredictable in a variety of ways, and needs to be upright to ensure effectiveness.
GM-94 Grenade Launcher: A 43mm pump-action grenade launcher with a 3-round capacity. It utilizes HE/Frag, smoke, and tear gas canisters with a relatively low kill radius in order to allow close-in and room-to-room usage.
UAZ-23632/OKB-REP "Borodina": An ECM pickup truck. Seats a Driver, Passenger, and Operator for the ECM suite. Capable of jamming civilian frequencies within a 2km radius and targeted jamming of military frequencies. Passively intercepts and records radio and wireless communications nearby. Can reach 90km/h on a paved road. Off-roading is not suggested due to the delicate nature of the ECM suite within.
KamAZ Typhoon: A Russian Mine-Resistant/Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicle with a 2-man capacity in the cab and space for 16 people in the back. Armor is sufficient to stand up to modern small arms, and thick bullet-proof glass protects the personnel in the cab. Has a top speed of 105km/h.
Kamov KA-60: A transport/utility helicopter with space for 2 crew and 14 passengers. The twin-turbine helicopter has a cruising speed of 290km/h with a maximum liftoff weight of 6500kg.
Ilyushin Il-76/OKB: A cargo transport originally designed to carry up to 60 passengers, though the OKB version is modified to transport a combination of men, vehicles, and anomalies.
