Welcome to the OKB.

After the collapse of the SCP Foundation the world was left without a safeguard to protect it from the countless unknowns we face each and every moment of our lives. With a ruined Foundation, some determined it was time to begin anew and so the Confidential Security Division was founded in Russia (Отдел конфиденциальной безопасности in the native tongue). A biohazard scare was fabricated in order to evacuate the island of Novaya Sibir of it's any inhabitants and scholars investigating the remains of Ice Age creatures. Once evacuated, the right palms were greased and the island was declared an inhabitable zone. The OKB occupied the island soon afterward and constructed the first of their facilities. Now they seek to fill them.

Now that it is the Design Phase you are free to propose the creation of equipment for the OKB armory, which can be found below. Keep in mind that there is no Revision Phase like a standard Arms Race, so any changes made to existing equipment has to be done as a design action. In order to compensate for this, a design that falls within the scope of adjusting existing equipment will be relatively easy to do.

Ratnik Combat Uniform: Russia's latest advancement in infantry equipment. The helmet includes a headset to facilitate communications as well as an eye monitor with thermal, monocular night vision, and flashlight capabilities. A handheld computer allows squad leaders to see the locations of their men in real time thanks to an integrated nav system. Each soldier also has a smaller device for receiving orders, images, and video from the squad leader. The body armor weighs 7.5kg and can reliably stop 7.62x39mm rounds.

GSh-18 Handgun: The GSh-18 is a semiautomatic 9mm handgun with a capacity of 18+1 rounds. It's easy to maintain (containing only 17 parts), and is designed to be able to fire high-velocity ammunition.

AK-12 Assault Rifle: An automatic rifle chambered for 5.45x39mm ammunition with a 30-round capacity. The AK-12 is very accurate and reliable, and can hit a fire rate of 700 RPM with a maximum firing range of 800 meters.

GM-94 Grenade Launcher: A 43mm pump-action grenade launcher with a 3-round capacity. It utilizes HE/Frag, smoke, and tear gas canisters with a relatively low kill radius in order to allow close-in and room-to-room usage.

KamAZ Typhoon: A Russian Mine-Resistant/Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicle with a 2-man capacity in the cab and space for 16 people in the back. Armor is sufficient to stand up to modern small arms, and thick bullet-proof glass protects the personnel in the cab. Has a top speed of 105km/h.

Kamov KA-60: A transport/utility helicopter with space for 2 crew and 14 passengers. The twin-turbine helicopter has a cruising speed of 290km/h with a maximum liftoff weight of 6500kg.

Ilyushin Il-76/OKB: A cargo transport originally designed to carry up to 60 passengers, though the OKB version is modified to transport a combination of men, vehicles, and anomalies.

Something to cause amnesia? You could certainly go for it.

Combat fatigues, grenade launchers, helicopters. Great for blowing stuff up, not so great for not alerting literally everyone to our presence, including any anomalies. I suggest our first design should focus on stealth. Amnestics are a good idea, but are best used after contact and won't help with surprising a hostile force. Even something simple such as better stealth aircraft might work. Another concern is use of less-than-lethal force against the anomalies we are meant to capture. Would we need to spend our design action to get something like rubber bullets, or can we assume we have access to common real-world technology?

I'm assuming the amnestic is for witnesses? While useful, everyone has a smart phone, so we would have to deal with those as well. Not just confiscating pictures and videos mind you, but jamming the signal so they can't stream it on their instagram or w/e. I feel that would be more important, and if we can combine it with a stealth vehicle, we can kill two birds with one stone.

Oh, I like that idea. Electronic countermeasures are very versatile. A device that fills the airwaves on all frequencies (except the ones we use for our own communications, which should be encrypted anyway) with pink noise, jamming civilian phones to keep secrecy and hostile communications equipment to put them in disarray.

If it isn't mentioned in the armory you probably don't have it, at least in regard to ammunition.

Actually, thinking on it, some sort of non-lethal paralytic agent would be I think a good idea, allowing us much more versatility for our methods of capture and/or dealing with rivals -- while still being useful in plain combat. Also it fits the russian MO lmfao
