Stuck in water (solved)
« on: May 30, 2019, 11:48:55 pm »

I wanted to train their swimming skill so I stationed them on the ice before Spring came.
But the problem is, they can't leave the lake even if they are adept swimmers.

Now they have become dehydrated and I can do nothing to make them move. To make things worse, they are the only two dwarves in the fort so there's no backup plan.
What do I do now?

Use a DFHack script to teleport them?

How?
Command fastdwarf doesn't seem to work.

Looking at the files in the hack/scripts directory indicates the file is called "teleport" (.lua, of course). If I remember correctly, you have the unit in focus (with one of the usual selection commands) and then move the cursor a bit away while the unit is still in focus, issue the command, and the unit should teleport to the new location. I believe the script takes parameters as well so you can provide the unit ID instead of having the unit in focus.

Thanks, it works.
After a teleport, they began to swim on their own.
