You decide that it is a good plan, and pass the command of Kastorian troops to the Xane-Peonian Marshal. The regents thank you for your generosity, and the Marshal is off to do some fighting the very next morning.

You spend your time at the court of boy-King Kemen and the Regents.

The Marshal of Xane-Peon is currently chasing Elea's troops into western side of the kingdom.

Meanwhile, the life at the court is getting a bit uncomfortable. The food is bland, the drinks are rationed, and the fireplaces rarely lit - and the swift winds and cold rains of winter are already giving you chills.

That is true. More than true. Character death could actually be a positive outcome here. Changing my vote to B. Actually, this war has two possible outcomes that could unite Kastoria and Xane-Peon under our family's rule.

If our side wins, but we bite it due to ill health while our troops are actively supporting Kemen, it us not unfeasible that some coup happens to put the boy king on both thrones.

If our side loses, Elea (under our control) could wind up in charge of Kastoria, her husband in charge of Xane-Peon, and their future children in charge of both. This is more likely to happen if we both lose the war and die.
