Disorder and chaos grips the Kingdom of Xane-Peon right now; the regents of infant King, Kemen I, are fighting the forces loyal to Queen Elea and her lover, General Matin Zagorra. That your aunt would rebel against Xane-Peonian Crown is a shock to your family, but then again, she didnt' write for years. Apparently, her goal is to place her lover on the throne of Xane-Peon and start a new dynasty.

What's worse, the Peonians, either by coincidence or in a planned move by Elea and Matin, have rebelled against their Xanean lords. Rebels and insurgents prey on the travelers of the western roads, and the cities on the coast are stained with blood of insurgents and loyalists alike. You can expect the salt trade, recently reinstanted by Anreu III's diplomats, to grind to a halt as soon as next year.

While there was no calls for arms from the regents of the little Kemen, nor an offer of alliance from your aunt, your courtiers gather to consider this situation. Whoever shall be in power in Xane-Peon at end of this calamity, will be your new friend or foe...

A) We ought to monitor the situation for now.
B) Let's send an offer of help to Elea and expand our influence in the west!
C) Obviously, we need to send a message to our allies, regents of Kemen that's it, pledging our support!

Changing to A to tie up the vote and hopefully block C from winning until we get an answer on this. Would really rather not side with strangers against our own family.

I think I'll keep my vote where it is (on A) because I fear the Peon uprising is too big a wild card in this. Otherwise, I am a Kemen supporter.

I wonder if we can offer his regents a safe place to stash an infant king while he grows up? I wonder what rules the Familial religion has for adopting an (effectively) orphaned relative as your own child? [/hint]
