Yeah! Loving all the aspects of it, and the original series got a bit boring, to be honest.

It's quite good, and has everything a SPAMKINGDOM should have.

It's okay, wouldn't mind seeing the original series updated again though.

This seems the best idea. Our wound is fairly normal, so it's likely not full of lizard poisons or anything.

Even if it's not, it's not at all clean and we really don't want it getting infected. I figure this is something well worth taking a little time over... especially if we extend our supplies by eating the horse.

You decide to clean the wound and wrap it in clean cloth. You spend lots of drinking water and time to do that.

You then decide to cut up the lizards for meat. You prepare and roast some of it to eat for tonight.

(Supplies will not be spend for next two days)

You stare down at your dead horse. It could provide for a hefty amount of meat itself, but horses are considered sacred to The Father, symbolizing endurance and fertility.

A) I'm not gonna starve myself out of piety!

After a tough battle, you decide not to gamble on angering the gods.

You continue on.

A whole day of traveling on foot takes you through the flat areas of the northeastern Oatstalk Fields, if it's still the Fields. The green, grass fields are giving away to areas filled with sand, rock and bushes, and you spot much less streams and brooks.

You can see the mountains in the distance, their silhouettes fogged by the air.

You feast on the last piece of the reptile meat. It has proven edible, but rather bland. Whether it's the property of the meat, or perhaps just lack of spice, you're not sure.

You can see that there's a large, dense forest at the base of the mountains. You've long ago abandoned the landscapes of ruins and old roads, and definitely the forest is inhabited by nothing but wild animals. Or perhaps, something more sinister? You can never be sure. It could as well be home only to small rodents and insects.

To the north, the rocky plains continue on. You could spend perhaps a day extra navigating to bypass the forest and reach the mountains without stepping anywhere close to the old forest.

A) I'm in a hurry, however, and supplies will keep diminishing. I shall move right through the forest!
B) The forest is full of hidden beings, while plains are flat - easy to spot trouble when traveling there!
