"Leave horsey alone, you bastards!" You unsheathe your sword and run at the lizards! You gonna stab their brains out for what they've done.

You skillfully dodge the maw of the reptile that was interested in you, and plunge your sword between its eyes. It gurgles and hisses in shock, quickly turning onto its back as dark red blood sputters from the terrible wound.
One down, two to go! The damn reptiles quickly catch up at what is transpiring and charge you!

The reptiles prove persistent combatants, but you avoid their maws and get to their sides. One gets a stab in the side of its underbelly, the other almost loses its tail to a powerful swing of your sword. Their enthusiasm and combat ability disappears quite fast.

Then one of them bites your free hand! You pull it away from the maw of the dangerous reptile, and step away. Blood seeps from needle-like bite marks all over your palm.

Adrenaline is powerful drug however, and you quickly retake the initiative.
Soon enough, one tail gets fully chopped off, and another reptile's ugly head is pierced. The bodies of the strange green lizards twitch and coil in final spasms, before becoming motionless.
You approach your horse, which is wheezing as blood pools from the wounds on its neck, head and legs. You stab it in the head to relieve it from the pains of death.
Your hand is bleeding somewhat. You should take care of it.
A) I will just wrap it up and carry on. Without my horse, I must hurry!
B) Better clean up the wound, patch it up, and stay around for a while so it heals at least partially.
The reptiles, however, seem rather dense beasts. Mayhaps their flesh could prove nutritious? Who knows, it might be even tasty, all you need is to roast it up before maggots and flies take interest in the dead reptiles.
A) I better not indulge on exotic foods, lest they turn out poisonous or something.
B) I will feast on the roasted reptile meat in honor of my dead horse!
