You tell the Spymaster to send his agents and ensure that Velason does not walk on his leg anymore.

The news of Velason's sudden death reach your ears faster than Spymaster can deliver his report. His agent, posing as a healer, has snuck into the camp, and administered poison amongst medicines of usurper's healers. Velason was dead before the morning sun managed to rise!

This was the signal that the loyal peoples living in the west waited for. They quickly retook keeps and city councils from the disloyal scum, arresting, killing, or forcing Velason's men into exile. Rebel armies disbanded and their soldiers fled into the woods and mountains, much like supporting noblemen suddenly disappeared from their estates, along with their families and riches, never to be seen within Kastorian borders again.
The people of the Kingdom, however, took the news with little joy. Mayhaps they were too tired to celebrate, maybe it was something else, but the general, underlying unrest and dissastifaction with your rule remains.
At least, you're done with one catastrophe and prepare for the next, whenever it strikes.
Congratulations! Lycwl has survived an usurpation rebellion!
Shortly after the celebratory feast is done, the guards inform you that two people want to meet with you for an audience.
One is a prospector and an old miner, claiming to have found malachite in the northern hills, while the other is an exhausted rider, saying that a terrible beast has appeared in the far east of the kingdom, having crawled out of the Grey Plains.
A) I've got to hear that monster report first, obviously!
B) Let's hear out the miner before my mood sours further.
