Race: Gardener Beetles
Description: Large blue beetles with a fused carapace that only splits when molting. Due to their size they can't fly. They have a proboscis which they use to feed on plant nectar. Their antennae and front legs have pincers so that they can grab things.
Environment: Forest.

Capital city: The Colony
The Colony consists of an underground tunnel system that runs throughout the forest they live in. The inhabitants are divided into groups. There is the Queen and King, the only pair allowed to mate within the Colony, the Drones are males that leave the Colony with Princesses to found new areas, the Princesses are females who are allowed to reproduce as long as they leave the city they hatched in, Brooders are females that care for the eggs and larvae until they reach adult form, Rescuers are females who go through the tunnels, searching for those who got trapped to free them from things like cave ins, and Diggers who are females that dig new tunnels.
Mineville: A city that exists under The Colony. Hiearchy is similar except that there are mostly Diggers.

The Garden: An aboveground area where the Queen and King send Gardeners, plant mages that ensure that plants continue growing.

Lab City: Located on the same depth level as the colony, undesignated Workers and Drones that have not left can go research new things.

Magic: Chloromancy. They specialize in plant magic, using it to grow plants faster than they normally would grow, so that their feeding doesn't destroy the forest in which they live.
