Nanite Cover Grenade:
A simple grenade that, instead of dispersing fragmentation and explosion, disperses nanites. These nanites form dizzying arrays of tiny mirrors, as well as emitting chaotic electromagnetic spikes. As a result, any laser or plasma bolts that enter the "glitterfield" are severely weakened. Each grenade creates a roughly 5m cube of glitterfield, that infantry can pass through without dispersing.

Turn 3 Revision Phase

Proposal: Roc Camera/Flak Refinement
Difficulty: Trivial
Result: (4+3)+3=10, Superior

If there's one thing the Terrestrial Reserve does well, it's perfection. A pretty simple software upgrade to the Roc's camera systems allows the Neurohelmet to provide picture-in-picture views of all the cameras at once, with the option to switch any camera to the primary view at any point. Switching between primary views is seamless and immediate. This allows the pilot in control of the defenses an unprecedented amount of situational awareness.

The airburst flak was also something of an issue that our engineers looked into. It turns out the turret fabricators had the wrong schematic uploaded and set to print! The flak rounds work effectively as point defense but can be quickly overwhelmed (but that's why we gave the thing armor, innit?), and can provide an effective deterrent should someone decide to get extremely close.

With these two simple upgrades our Rocs become significantly more able to defend themselves. We should see them deployed at an (EXPENSIVE) level.

----

Proposal: Sentinel Munitions Improvement
Difficulty: Trivial
Result: (5+3)+3=11, Masterwork

Refinement and miniaturization is the name of the game when it comes to technological progress. The new missile flies out to Extreme ranges faster than the original munitions ever could, and the significantly improved electronics suites in both the missile and launcher grant rapid target acquisition and make baffling the missiles much more difficult. We probably didn't need to, but we also managed to add a little more oomph to the warhead. These enhancements make both the Launcher and Extra Missiles (CHEAP).

It is now the Strategy Phase! If you don't remember, because it's been a while, and that's totally your fault, not mine, you are to adjust any Loadouts you wish to, choose a Hex to attack, and decide whether you set your Outfit to attack or defend!

From the discord the NC has no reason not to attack the warpgate and we'll probably lose that fight while the VS will probably attack C4 so we'll get more out of the loss if we hold C4 against the VS which is more likely than holding the warpgate.

I don't really care what we change the name to, to be clear. So long as it isn't literal nazi stuff again.

I feel like the Steelfall Dragoons is a terrible name for a land-based outfit. not a bad name in general but if we're going to use that one we might as well get a whole new outfit focused on air assault as well to fit the name :P

Also it wasn't literal nazi stuff the first time around you doof Nuke

Quote from: Revision:Destroyer Armor Replacement
The Destroyer is good, quite good honestly, in spite of the enemies insistence on how outdated it is. It does have one critical flaw however, one that can't really be blamed on the designers or engineers. Simply put, because we did not know who we were fighting, we specialized the Destroyers armor to stand up to things we were familiar with. Kinetic weaponry. You can likely see where the problem comes in.

This means that the Destroyers armor is no more useful against our enemies weaponry than ordinary armor would be. As such, we are remaking the armor so as to handle the weapons that will actually be getting used on it.

The ERA bricks have been removed entirely. Instead, while the base armor is reduced in thickness by 25mm, an extra 75mm of Ablative armor has been layered on. This form of armor, typically used in heat shielding for spacecraft during reentry, protects the vehicle from heat based weapons(such as lasers and plasma) by dispersing the heat throughout itself and repelling it, rather than absorbing and conducting said heat. This should allow the Destroyer to handle the temperatures output by the enemy weaponry far more effectively, preventing it from being immediately crippled by an ambush from enemy vehicles, giving the Destroyer that crucial time it needs to fire back, likely destroying or crippling the offending vehicle in return.

This is not all we have done however. In addition to the extra layer of Ablative armor we have added, we have also replaced the ERA itself. In every place where the ERA bricks used to cover we have added plates of several layered thin films(far easier to make with nanites than through more primitive manufacturing processes) of highly reflective metals(treated to reduce collection of dust and other particles that could reduce reflectivity), which will help scatter beam weapons, further reducing their overall effectiveness against those vital areas until the reflective layer is burned away.

Hypercore

A miniaturized fusion reactor (and by miniaturized we mean the size of a small house when not covered in shielding) that can be constructed by the workforce vehicles. It can provide power to emplacements, nanite generators, and more. Power is transmitted through underground lines constructed by the workforce (no need to trench, nanites are cool like that), and occasionally stabilized by small, cube shaped transformer relays as needed.

Sentinel Missile Fab Pack

A first foray into standalone ammo fabrication, the sentinel missile fabrication pack is a box approximately the size of two sentinel missiles that has one purpose - make new missiles on demand, enough to keep up with rate of fire of sentinel launchers. The micro-sized generator is based off of our current ammunition trailers, and the smaller scope of manufacturing allows for more specialization of nanites.

Harrier
A Pilot-only heavy airborne hybrid ground support/air defense fighter. Boasting a sleeker profile than the roc but the same engines and armor, this craft travels at 600 km/h. Has a 20mm gatling cannon on a nose turret to target ground for es whiletwo large under-wing racks of Sentinel missiles. These missiles have been upgraded to be controllable via neurolink in a manner similar to the rocket pods. The Cameras from the Roc are maintained to provide an unprecedented amount of situational awareness. One pilot, no passengers.

Legacy of Sol
The Legacy of Terra is good armor, but the Legacy of Sol considers the lifegiver of our species and the weapons our rivals bring to hear. Boasting an omnivisor, first aid system, life support systems, and advanced load bearing rig, the armor itself is completely different. The thermal disappation undersuit is the same, but the armor plating itself is layered with layered reflective thin films and made with a more thermally resistant ceramic. The biggest advancement of the armor is a sleeping-bag sized attachment to the armor that can make one of two ammunition  types - 7.62mm or 10mm, our two standard calibers. This manufacturing center piggybacks off the armor's nanite system to slowly fill one magazine at a time, and can be detached from it's space on the lower back for tight spaces.

Tortoise
Our workforce vehicles do a lot of work to build fortifications, but enemy fire isn't always stopped by walls. As such, we have upgraded the workforces to be able to construct a large nanite generator that creates an effect similar to that of the heavy assault's shield. It covers a variable area, and our units can shoot out without exposing themselves to enemy fire. Can be hooked up to a core power network.

Revision: Core Power Network
The Core is finally fully functional. Its critical problems now, are A. We have no way to get the power out across the rest of the sector, and B. We don't really have anything to use said power. The second problem will take a far more concentrated effort to solve, so for this project, we'll be working on the former.

To put it simply, we're making power pylons and power cables. The Pylons are, in effect, massive batteries. These batteries not only hold the power from the Core to allow it to be spread elsewhere, they also well, store said power. Thus meaning that if the core goes down, there will still be a moderate amount of power stored up in the network to use while we work on bringing the Core back up. The cables are just that, cables, they're somewhat reinforced, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary.

And finally, while the Workforce lacks the precision and variable design capabilities to really link up the cables itself, it has had the blueprints added such that it can create the Pylons and lengths of cable, allowing us to replace them easily when needed. This should finally solve the one critical problem(aside from its scale at least) that keeps the Core from being properly useful and deployable in bulk.

Design: Lammergeier class Fighter(Pilot Specific)
A Pilot-only heavy airborne hybrid ground support/air defense fighter. The Lammergeier is a far smaller and sleeker craft than the Roc(being far closer in size to a proper fighter), but possesses the same powerful engines, allowing it to travel at speeds estimated at 600 km/h. It is equipped with a 20mm gatling cannon on a nose turret to target ground forces with two large under-wing racks of Sentinel missiles. These missiles have been upgraded to be controllable via neurolink in a manner similar to the rocket pods and as such are moderately upscaled to fit the extra systems. While it is far less armored compared to the Roc, it has retained enough to survive most area burst weaponry. The Cameras from the Roc are maintained to provide an unprecedented amount of situational awareness. This craft carries one pilot, no passengers.
